"Unfortunately while the facility is nice and a lot of the staff was kind we had a lot of issues here. Multiple times medications were given that should not have been. A sedative was approved for one time use and they ended up adding it to the med regimen so it was given when it was not supposed to be. New meds were added without approval even after we were guaranteed that would not occur. It was difficult to get updates from doctors and even after we expressed concerns it took an infection getting out of control for it to be taken seriously so it caused another hospitalization. Once hospitalization happened there were injuries and issues that we had not been informed of. Most of the nurses were helpful, the aides were great, and the speech and physical therapist were helpful but even the therapists expressed concerns that were seemingly dismissed by the medical staff/doctors. Many of these issues could have been prevented with communication. It truly felt like they didn't look at the person as a whole and just tried to solve issues with new meds and not get to the root of symptoms. It should be about the patients best interest and here it simply wasn't. I no longer trust them to care for a loved one."

"If I could give zero stars, I would, this place deserves nothing. It is absolutely uncalled for when my family member states to never leave him there alone again because the nurses are mean. My family member has scratches all over him that weren’t there yesterday, the nurses tried to put him in a chair that was unsuited for his care considering he has a hard time holding himself up & he “almost” fell (according to the nurse), the staff is very rude, most of the nurses & staff act as if they don’t want to be there. Super sad that you can’t even trust a place like this to take good care of your family members. This place is terrible and we have had nothing but terrible experiences since we have been here. I’m sorry, but do not trust them to take good care of your family members because they won’t. If I could post pictures of certain things, I would. PATHETIC!!!"

"Medical care after your special needs child turns 18 has been less than stellar from our experiences in Lubbock. If this is your situation do not come here. It took us 3 weeks of us calling them to get an appointment after referrals from doctors. Our rehab doctor, Dr Wolcott, wanted us to receive physical therapy especially in regards to our child's foot. Our PCP also agreed. The PT did an evaluation and decided that in spite of doctors orders he would not qualify for any PT in spite of a knee contracture and ankle contracture. We could just do the stretching at home. I was continually asked "Does that make sense" to which I answer No, it does not make sense. Never in the 18 years we have had our son has a PT denied him care. "Does that make Sense"? No."

"My little sister got into a terrible, awedul car wreck that left her pelvis shattered and her left side paralyzed from a seizure that happened while she was being air lifted to a facility that could better take care of her. We were told there was optimism for her recovery since she was so young, but we had no idea where she'd be as far as how much she'd physically be able to recover. We were here for a little below 3 months, and when I tell you these wonderful people work miracles I truly believe that. She went from hardly being able to talk, to chattering anyone and everyone's ear off about her beloved cat back home, and she went from needing to use a device to get from her bed to a wheelchair to being able to stand to do transfers with the help of nurses. We watched her go from not being able to move her left side at all to regaining use of her leg and her arm reacting as well. We still have a long way to go, but without everyone working tirelessly to make sure she and my family were comfortable we'd for sure be much farther away from recovery."
