"This facility is as close to 5 star as I have experienced. The only thing that could use some improvement is the communication at shift change and information given to family. We had a couple times where information provided from doctors somehow was not communicated to nurses. Fortunately it was easy to get issues corrected and the nurses were amazing at getting us answers to questions. Regular communication/updates with the family would have prevented the few issues we encountered. With that said this facility does a phenomenal job overall. Their nursing staff was incredible. The nurses and nurse techs were kind, considerate, informative, and incredibly helpful. The dietary/nutritional staff did an amazing job going over options and providing alternative meals when needed. The food was good and they always took extra time to make sure our family member was taken care of. The doctors took every concern seriously and answered all our questions. They provided updates when requested if we were not there during rounds. The therapists are great. They gave clear instructions, explained how the exercises and assessments help/work, and provided helpful updates as progress was made. The case workers were informative and incredibly helpful as we went through discharge options and next steps. The case manager supervisor followed up regularly and answered so many of our questions. The housekeepers were almost invisible I don't know how they keep the facility so clean but you feel like you never see them! It was so impressive. The receptionist were welcoming and incredibly kind! The facility is immaculate. Amazing gym, rooms were spacious and comfortable, public bathrooms were clean, and the outdoor areas were beautiful. Overall we had an amazing experience at south plains and we are incredibly grateful for all they have done for our family."
"My mother in law has experienced two different stays at this hospital. She was treated with kindness and compassion both stays. Her therapists were friendly and encouraging (thank you Amanda, Aubrey, and Megan)! Her nurses and care team were responsive when she needed something. They went above and beyond to make sure she had what she needed to meet her goals and to be successful once released from the hospital. Her case managers worked well with us and aided us in finding the right placement for her when she was ready to leave. I am very thankful for the doctors and care team that cared enough to make a difference during these very stressful times."

"I would not recommend this place for anyone. They don't listen to the family members when they're expressing their concern about their loved one when their loved one is kind of little out of it and not being themselves. They don't listen. They don't care. The doctors suck the people in charge suck. I have had a very overall bad experience there I would think twice before going there. And especially don't care for their physical therapy, occupational therapy or the lady in charge of that department. They obviously don't want your input on how that person's doing when they're not around. A one is gracious as a star for them."
"My grandmother is here for rehabilitation after an illness. This facility is immaculately clean, quiet and has had nothing but friendly staff. Grandma reports feeling like the physical therapy is really helpful and making an improvement. The courtyard in the middle is so nice, with some painted rocks with encouraging words made by patients."
