"As a student who had a lot of mental health issues this school was a saviour. I had the best education that I could have asked for. For my first three years of high school I went to cyranch which proved to be too much but at nelms I was accepted for me and got the individual help I needed to succeed in my final year of high school. Even today after I haven't been attending the school for nearly 5 years I called up for my transcript and was remembered by Mrs Spangle who was very helpful with the transcripts .I wouldn't be where I am today or who I am today if it wasn't for Calvin Nelms."
"This school is a joke. The teachers play favorites and don't do anything but yell at you all day. They don't teach you anything. I have noticed multiple racist and sexist experiences here. There are so many things wrong with this "school". I don't recommend bringing your kids here. All of those 5 star ratings are from people who went to this school a while ago and back then it was better, now it's terrible. They care more about your attendance and attitude than they do teaching you. This school is not a better learning opportunity. Normal middle and high schools have electives and clubs which will help you in college. Don't take your kids here."

"Hi this is Morgan and Barbara we currently attend Calvin Nelms Charter School.We have been here for 7 years and we wouldn't trade it for the world ! The teachers here are really caring and thoughtful ,they are actually concerned in your future and in anything that you wish to succeed in .The students here are like any other high school all loud and annoying lol.The lunch should be outside food everyday but it's a-okay we can work around it !(: Honestly coming here was the best choice that we have ever made.When you come here you're guaranteed to graduate and leave with a life long experience of fun and learning and friendships.Thank you all see ya here !"
