"Iam not from this school , im from Metzger and on my school's girls soccer team. When we had finished our game woodlakes soccer team girls started to call our school a loser since we lost provoking a fight. Is this how you teach your students to act ? Because if so you need some new rules and need to teach your students some good sportsmanship. I was disappointed that a soccer team would sink so low. -yours truly Isabella Melo Turnbull"
"It is because of this school my kids are going to a charter school. I need to move back to the NEISD area. Lesson learned ;Bad neighborhoods = Bad Schools filled with Bad kids. And I thought the South side was garbage!!!"
"im a new student this year, honestly the kids here are so annoying, theres been several fights this year already, it honestly makes me scared to go to school cause i could get targeted and/or bullied which could lead me into a fight. The kids just take videos and laugh at the fight instead of stopping it. Honestly i want to do homeschooling instead of going here or anywhere else in general. One kid on my bus said rude things about me because i sat in a seat he was saving for someone, he said things like im a "ugly a** b****" and that i look like someone who would shoot up the school. It really offended me that the kid makes me upset about my appearance."
"I withdrew my child from this school today. My daughter has always been an A/B student and participates in book clubs and choir. She is in honor classes. My daughter text me during the day that two girls wanted to jump her so I showed up at the school immediately and talked with the counselor that said she would address this and that the girl had not been physical with anyone thus far. Afterschool my daughter was jumped by one of these girl bullies (as I was waiting for her in my vehicle) for comforting another child that this same bully was messing with earlier that day. This bully punched my daughter on the side of her head unexpectedly(from behind),pushed her down to the floor, pulled her hair/ears, climbed onto of her and started punching her head/face. This bully cursed words at my daughter that she has never heard in her life. I am disgusted with the way the school administrators handled this situation from the school officer, to the grade principal, to the main principal!!!!!! The school officer refused to let me press charges on the girl that attacked my daughter because he was told my daughter swung back at the girl when she was on top of my daughter as if my daughter should have just stood there still taking more blows to the head which by the way caused her to have a post-concussion syndrome per her medical doctor today. I thought that was called self-defense. Mind you, the school's Academic Dean was standing right by me RIGHT after the incident and heard 6-12 students say my daughter was attacked and they witnessed it. The officer however is going to let me press charges on this bullies mother for yelling at me in the office after this incident for stating that she would find me and beat me. - explains the bully's behavior! I also had issues with one of the teachers three weeks prior to this for not allowing my child to go to the school nurse when she felt ill. The teacher instead tossed my child a trashcan in case she wanted to vomit. I went to pick up my child and the attendance lady gave me attitude asking why I was pulling my child out if the nurse didn't sent her home. I told her maybe the nurse would have sent her home if the teacher would have following nurse policy and sent her to get a medical evaluation. She then gave me attitude and said well it wont be excused. I am not going to allow this bully to get away with what she did to my daughter. We need to teach these bullies that this is not acceptable and that they will face consequences for their actions since some parents are not teaching their kids this concept. NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY SEVERAL OF MY DAUGHTERS FRIENDS FROM HER HONOR CLASSES LEFT THIS SCHOOL WITHIN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. ***DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE. IT IS FULL OF BULLIES AND THE SCHOOL ADMINS HAVE NOT CONTROL OVER THE SITUATION."
"The worst thing we could have ever done is move into the JISD district. I'm concerned that these teachers are frustrated, and do not teach these kids with the passion of preparing them for life and success. There are too many problematic children in this district and they are interfering with my children's learning. It is near impossible to reach administrators yet they always find a way to contact you with negative qualms. My child makes A's and B's and stays out of trouble, as well as playing every sport and it bothers me that she is being sent out of class for telling other children to stop talking in class. It bothers me that there are numerous bullies in this school and yet, nobody faces any consequences to their actions. It down right pisses me off that so many things take place and they NEVER notify the parents and when they do it's late and I never find out through the horses mouth. The only people who seem to care about these kids at this school are the Coaches, who are the only diamonds in this rough. I feel horrible for them though because they are forced to teach in gym's with no heat during the winter and no AC during the summer. smh. It's a shame that we have to pick up and leave yet again to relocate, and tear our kids from the few friends they've made in order to make sure they are receiving a quality education. Woodlake Hills needs to get it together and need to start siphoning out the kids that are conducive to a healthy learning atmosphere. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. There will be no birth to prison pipe line for my children, and I will not allow them to turn my children off to learning and becoming successful all because they are starting to dread going to school everyday here."
