"I’ve been to this location several times and Sam is always friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Most recently, I took my Truetone archtop in for some TLC and new strings and Sam did a great job. Highly recommend."
"If I had the option to give no stars, I certainly would. During our recent visit to the store, an employee named Sam made unjust accusations against my disabled and autistic brother and my mother, accusing them of theft. The alleged reason for this accusation was my brother's failure to return a guitar accessory to its designated location. This accusation led to Sam pursuing them, despite the item in question being too large to conceal. We are profoundly disappointed by this experience and have decided not to use this establishment any longer due to their apparent discrimination against individuals with disabilities."
"Waste of time going there. Simply wanted some long instrument cables. I've had negative experiences at other Hilljes before but I figured they'd at least have that. Nope. Longest was 10 feet. I was told that another customer had come in and bought all the longer ones. A music store should always have plenty of cables in stock. Disappointing."
"One of the worst customer service I have received. They pretty much just took about 89.00 from me. My son got interested in learning guitar. So I dropped off an old sentimental value guitar to get repaired and tuned. Well they did repair (claiming some items were worked on like the tension rod which is non existent in my guitar) without giving me a promised estimate phone call. Either way I went to pick up, paid and not even left the store and one string snapped with 2 others ready to go. After expressing my discontent I believe the technician was contacted by owners I assume, well after the technician finally called me, said he would swap out strings to avoid them snapping. Again no call telling me it was ready. I called and they advised it was ready to pick up, I did but now the guitar can’t be tuned and it sounds ridiculous. The tune keys won’t hold and it keeps slipping. So now I have a useless guitar and I’m out 89 bucks. If it wasn’t repairable just tell me and no worries but the fact that they pretty much just took my hard earned money doesn’t sit well with me….oh did I mention I’m a retired military vet?….:"
