Baymont by Wyndham Delavan Near Lake Geneva

"The room was completely filthy the fridge had stains and so did the blankets, pillows sheet, bed sheets and curtains. Also the towels didn't even match. The room was even safe where you can push on the door and it open No dead bolt lock on it like most hotels. Under the bed was broken and we found tissues, and a royal crown cap under the bed. when we asked for a new blanket and sheets the house keeping didn't even understand english. when we finally got the new sheets the sheets were stained worse then the ones before and the blanket they just washed instead of giving us a new one. the staff was very rude we asked for Apple juice and we couldn't even get it because it wasn't breakfast time. The breakfast was decent expect for the waffles which were over cooked no matter when u stopped the cooker it was either crispy or under done. Also the tv was staticy and barley could see the shows playing. The floors was gross too where they had crumbs on the floors and also they had bags of trash lying around. Which in our opinions shouldn't be lying around for guest to see. And the only good thing was it was close to shops and we could easily walk the town and the hotel had a bar, a fitness room and tthy accepted pets. But the location of the fitness room didn't even make sense because it was in the basement where they held parties and used it for storage. Couldnt even have a dedicated space for it and they advertised about having a acarde but it barley a acarde had slot machines and a pool table. Hardly a arcade for kids Abd it was in the bar I can't even take my kids in the bar for the arcade. It totally wasn't appropriate space for the arcade to be at so all together would not recommend unless staff, housekeeping, and the cleanliness gets better. which we don't think it will because the house keeping and staff think it okay the way it is. Even the owner knows how bad it is and he don't change it. We don't think guest should be sleeping on stained blankets, sheets, and pillow cases. Also it totally looks bad on there part for having stained items they should be thrown away if they can't get out of the stain and replace it with cleaner stuff."

"I tried my best to like this place. It is near a cute downtown square and the people we dealt with were pleasant and they accept pets, but the room had so many issues it is impossible to recommend. The first room we were assigned reeked of marijuana smoke so we had to ask for a second room. The second room was sooo dirty my wife refused to stay there the first night. My dog started eating random bits of dog food left in the corners of the room as soon as we walked in. While trying to pick up the other pieces, I found the broken end of a crack pipe near the bathroom door as well as chewed on sucker sticks and nut shells. The bathroom vents had wadded up bits of toilet tissue stuffed into them for some reason and there were many pieces of toilet paper hanging from holes in the shower ceiling. The sink in the bathroom leaked when ran for more than a minute, dripping onto the bathroom floor. The shower stall obviously had not been scrubbed with an abrasive of any type for a long time and the edges of the shower were covered with hair and general filth. The furniture was damaged and the only chair in the room had something suspicious all over the netting that made up the back of it. When we removed the runner from the bed it was caked with dog hair from previous stays and the bed itself just didn't seem clean. On the second day, we left the card requesting new bedding and it was placed back there as if things had been changed, but they obviously hadn't as evidenced by our dog's hair where she had slept the night before. Even worse, the door hadn't been closed all the way and we simply pushed the door to open it. Luckily we hadn't left any valuables behind. The room was a good value, but just an extra ten minutes and a vacuum by someone who cared could have made a huge difference in the quality of our stay."

"Stayed here over Christmas. Hotel was ok, you get what you pay for…definitely old and needs work. Our room was not fully cleaned upon arrival (napkins and tissues behind bed stand, toilet not scrubbed, hairs and soap left in shower). Smell in lobby and hallway. Breakfast not good. For us the location trumped the problems since we didn’t have a car. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars and shopping."

"Hotel is nice for the price, rooms clean and comfortable beds, however, when we asked for a guest laundry, the desk clerk offered a service for 8.00. So we did that. The problem is when we got our laundry back nice and folded we were missing clothing items. A green hoodie to be exact. Might add that hoodie was why we needed to do laundry. My boyfriend had to leave the hotel in 21° temps without a jacket . The morning clerk and I searched the entire laundry room and it was nowhere to be found. Not happy! The breakfast was mediocre at best. The coffee was good offering several choices right down to true expresso. Still upset about missing hoodie..."

"First of all, I do not like leaving poor reviews. However, since we were caught off guard, I feel it necessary to share. The building in general is in poor shape. There is a smell when you walk in that isn’t pleasant. Our hallway of rooms was beat up and the doors were unfinished. You can tell that they started to repair them and never finished. The bathroom was dirty and the vanity top didn’t fit the vanity the right way. Basically, there is no attention to detail at all and it very much looks like they bought old hotel furniture, attempted to fix it and then put it in place as best they could. The beds are also old and uncomfortable. So sorry, but this was a huge disappointment. It is a great value, but at the cost of cleanliness and comfort."
