Byrd Middle School 1040 West Wheatland Road, Duncanville, TX 75116

"The students are left outside in the morning during the weather cold even on rainey days the only people who are aloud in the school are sports players, janitors and students who attend tutorial in the morning the staff are very lazy and unconcerned about the students.The principal and assistance principal doesn't return your call sometimes they don't answer the phone.When you call the front staff transfer you and the voicemail comes on they will tell you someone will contact you back but doesn't this is the worse school when it comes to communicating with the parents.The teachers need more training with their education but some of the teachers are great teachers but the students grades are very low they have students going to tutoring and they're still failing.Byrd test scores are very low the students are not being taught because real teachers will make sure that each student understand thier assignments if they don't understand the teachers should have a one on one with the students who don't understand some teachers won't the pay and don't won't to do the work and I feel that the Principal don't stress the issue either if I was the principal I would go to each classroom and see what's being taught and why are my students failing and take action."

"I am currently a 7th grader here at byrd and its overall a good school the teachers are nice the students have well diciplens and the choices of classes are good i am a cheerleader and played volleyball im also attending byrd my 8th grade year as a cheerleader choir was also fun try not to get tardies stay in dresscode dont skip it will catch up to you and just rember your their to get a education and you'll be sucessfull at byrd enjoy"

"I went here 7th grade year nd im an 8th grader here now. Its not the best school but the education is good. Btw im a cheerleader there and the coach is awesome. I also play volleyball nd basketball. All coachs are awesome"
