"These kids hardly ever had homework this year and then they get failing grades like 40s and 20s in the "first" grade on worksheets that are done in class, but come home blank ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. How can I help my child when I dont know what to help him with. To make matters worse I can never get a response from his teacher because she recently informed me her voicemail hasnt worked the whole year after countless voicemails I've already sent have gone un noticed. My son failed 2 classes in the first grade and has had 7 Cs smack on his permanent report card. If you want teachers that care about your child on an individual level and you appreciate academics look elsewhere. I used to like this school, even attended when I was younger, unfortunately this will be his last year."
"I used to go to this school."
"Descent school, but VERY SLOW at dismissal & NO GOOD parking to pick up the kids!!!!"
"I'm so fed up with this school. Today I witnessed a verbal fight break out in the parking lot between a parent and a security guard because he was too busy talking to a woman (with his back to the drop off) to direct the kids across the drop off point safely. The parent started yelling at him to do his job and he promptly started yelling back. The level of unprofessionalism diplayed here daily is sad. Last week I had the school nurse calling me telling me that my shot records aren't up to date then when I explained to her that I have a noterized document in the kids' file exempting me from the responsibility to report immunization records to the school (per the state of Texas), she sends me a copy of the document with the date that it was submitted in highlights claiming it was the expiration date. We have a school where the ignorance in the adult staff is affecting how they do their jobs because we'd rather chit chat with than direct kids and we have no idea how to read a legally binding document correctly. Why the nurse never had time to call me and warn me that my son would come home with marks on his neck from being choked out by another child, but had the time to harass my phone and send home letters about their shot records when I had already had the discussion with her about the validity of said document is beyond me. Get it together Hastings."
