Reviews
"Lynne Berdofe is extremely wonderful. I’ve met with her twice and her care is absolutely professional. I was very blessed to see her the first time. She really listened to my concerns and validated me, as well as provided the care I absolutely needed. But her hearing me out was extremely important, as she acknowledged and believed what I said as she moved to have a specialist see me to follow-up on my issues of concern."
"If you are looking for someone who is dismissive and condescending, then Lynne Berdofe is your gal. She symbolizes, in my opinion, everything that is wrong with healthcare, and in menopausal women's healthcare, in particular. Visit is too quick to really discuss anything in any meaningful way, and then talked down to and dismissed if you DO manage to bring something up. I went to her for a long overdue gyno appointment and to discuss my menopause journey and possible hormone therapy. I began by telling her about the incessant under-the-skin, crawly itchiness I have, (on my back, in particular), and she promptly told me "That's not a menopause symptom", and that I should see a dermatologist because QUOTE: "We don't handle skin conditions at the OB/GYN office", as though I really thought a dermatologist and an OB/GYN were one in the same. Okaaaaay.... Well.... IT IS A VERY-WELL-DOCUMENTED SYMPTOM OF MENOPAUSE, ACTUALLY. Extremely shocking that she not only didn't know this, but was so quick to tell little ol' dumb me that basically, I don't know what I'm talking about. I had to respectfully disagree with her and told her there is a term for it, which unfortunately eluded me in that moment. When she stepped out of the office so I could get dressed, she googled it...at least she admitted I was right and she was wrong about that. I also told her about the weight gain I have suffered since the onset of menopause because my metabolism is GONE...She said, " Oh really? What did you have for dinner last night?", in a very accusatory manner. I told her I had fajita meat on a salad. She said: " With all the sour cream and cheese and everything, right?" NO, lady. Meat. On a salad. I was told to just exercise more. My painful joints and inflammation, ALSO SYMPTOMS OF MENOPAUSE, are of no consequence. Once again....Okaaaay... I was hoping to try HRT to alleviate these and other symptoms I have been suffering with all of this time, but I was dismissed out of hand without even considering it. I research a lot. I know there are risks. I also know the results may be worth the risk. I'm supposed to be able to consult with my doctor. CONSULT. Not have that doctor basically tell me that I eat too much, am lazy , and don't know what I'm talking about. I expected more in this day and age than what women in menopause have been getting for decades. Especially from another woman. This was abysmal."
"Didn’t feel comfortable asking questions with Lynne even when she asked if I had any. She seemed annoyed and like she had better things she could be doing. As someone who is going through their first pregnancy, this was discouraging and a terrible experience. Would not recommend Lynne. Updating 3 months later: the experience with Lynne never improved. She should not be working with patients as she seems annoyed with any question you have. I hated going to any visits with her because she makes you feel stupid for asking any question and that you’re wasting her time. If I have another baby, I would not recommend this office because I was told Lynne is the only NP for the doctors in that office and she made the process that terrible to make me not want to go back."
"Could be more compassionate and aware with a first time patient. Didn’t really feel comfortable or reassured when she walked into the room. After explaining I was nervous when people touch me I didn’t feel acknowledged. I just felt like another patient to get out of the way. The nurse who we first met was lovely and seemed as if she cared about my visit. She was nice!"
"Lynne was the best ever to help me with my annual exam. Usually it takes forever, and hurts a bunch. This time it did not. I hope to never have to see anyone else for this kind of appointment. That's just how amazing she was. Thank you Lynne! This is a very personal review but if it helps others find Lynne then it was worth it!"
