"Love the team at IA! Our son started the program just before he turned two and is now a pro-floater and we have kept the sessions up throughout the year! He gets stronger and stronger every session! Thank you, IA Lubbock!"
"While I truly appreciate what this class teaches and the value of this survival skill, I was very unsatisfied with my experience. We were given a scheduled swim time and lessons took place Monday - Thursday, for 10 mins each day. The first week was pushed back due to an issue with the pool, no big deal. Shortly after classes started, classes ran behind almost every day. Most days classes were 20-30 mins behind. It was tough to keep my baby happy for that time as it was hot and he had to sit in my lap while we waited. This went on for about 2 weeks, I ended up speaking to one of the instructors about it and was simply told that they do their best. After this conversation, classes were on time for the most part. Classes were also canceled a lot, which was frustrating because there was not much consistency. Their intro video states “to ensure your child progresses through the lessons as they should, we recommend little to no missed lessons” it also states “consistency is very important for your child to be successful”. I could see a big difference in my child’s progress between the rare weeks we had class all four days and the weeks some classes were canceled. Lessons and makeups (for canceled lessons) were canceled at least 7 times. We did miss a couple of lessons due to my little one being sick, outside of that there were many canceled by the instructors. I again spoke to one of them about my concern since there wasn’t much consistency and I was worried about my child regressing. They explained that safety and health come first and that I shouldn’t worry because missing a few lessons is not a big deal (which is not what was stated previously). I completely agree and understand that health and safety is first priority. Health cancelations (instructor sickness or injury related) were sometimes very last minute, there were also two instructors. There were also times their children were there and they would come speak to their parent while my child was swimming which was concerning as it can be distracting, there was even a time the instructors children were swimming in the pool while my child was having their lesson. I am a working mom so I understand what that is like, my concern is that it is distracting and a potential safety concern. In the last week a lot of the swimmers were behind and at the end they were really pushing to try and get everyone done since they had a new class starting and with only three sessions left I knew my child was not going to learn the skill so I decided to not return as he was very emotional each time and I didn’t see the point in taking him back and putting him through that when he was not going to learn in the remaining three days. The instructor I spoke to did offer to continue working with him but at this point I wasn’t willing to put him through more sessions considering all of my above concerns. I was very hopeful that this class would bring us comfort and he would learn a life saving skill and unfortunately that was not the case for us. These classes are costly but I felt it was worth it considering the outcome and survival skill my child would have. I read nothing but positive reviews so I was very excited and confident in my choice. After going through the class I am very disappointed in the outcome."
"We love Infant Aquatics of Lubbock! Our oldest son started when he was about a year old and loves the water and swimming. It’s amazing to see how well he swims now! Jordan and Berkeley have been fantastic and so sweet and patient with both of our stubborn boys! They really take their time to make sure they master the program before moving on."
"IA of Lubbock is AMAZING! They take their time with your littles, focus on their growth and development and make sure your child learns the skills required to float/swim/both/etc. They build an unbelievable beautiful bond with you and your children, they care about your children as if they were their own. I would honestly recommend them to ANYONE and I already do!"
"Where do I begin. As a first responder I know The importance of water safety. If you think these are swim lessons the aren’t. They are so much more. I have Had my daughter in “swim lessons” since she was an infant. She is 3 now. She hated showers and would only get in the pool up to her shoulders and only if she clung to me. Jordan and her program is a game changer. Right out of the gate Jordan meant business. Her goal is to teach my child how to stay alive and to love the water. We are 7 sessions in and my daughter is swimming unassisted a good 20ft. If you think it’s expensive. My question to you is how much would you pay to save your child’s life? Hands down. Best investment in my daughters life thus far."
