"School is a joke. Principals and admin only care about those with money or football/cheerleaders. They see you as invisible unless you break a rule of spraying perfume in the hallway and if you show to much (both actually happened) even though you see girls in skimpy outfits and shorts and don't get told anything. Take your kids anywhere else but this school."
"I had three kids graduate from Monterey High School. They had a great experience academically as well as athletically at Monterey. The staff and leadership were not perfect but they were good. They were well prepared to go to college. The coaches taught my kids to be respectful athletes and to respect coaches!! No school is perfect. It saddens me to listen to parents talk about a school which their child graduated from. If you disliked it that much you should have went elsewhere. Always proud to be a Plainsmen!!"
"Unless you come from money you're treated either as invisible and/or overlooked for EVERYTHING - sports, student offices, inclusion in groups in general, teachers and staff are only there for a paycheck. I have no pleasant memories of MHS save one--the bell ringing on my last day there."
"This school is horrible! The staff doesn't know what they are doing and are very rude!!! They never have anything ready on time and take forever. Send your children anywhere else but here! I would rate this school lower if I could."
