"Horrible! Do not use this place unless you want to go almost 5 months trying to get a refund back for a surgery that never happened. Called in Sept to request a refund, at the time, I had no balance due. Somehow, once I paid the $1200 and then requested a refund...all of a sudden I had owed them. They blamed my insurance, whom I had on the line trying to get a clear answer to my question, and still wasn't able to provide me anything. The office is no help, it's their billing but don't have any clear answers. My insurance was even confused as to why they submitted claims in November when the last time I saw the dr was in September. As of last week, there were claims being filed on December 18th, but prior to that the claim was submitted in November and was told they were waiting on insurance for this last claim. No idea but there are better clinics in Houston than this one to use. Dr's are not horrible just the clinic itself and their deceitful ways to filing claims."
"I tried to give this clinic a chance but no one ever picks up the freaking phone. I was removed from the schedule with no phone call, no nothing. I literally took off work and journeyed through 610 traffic. It was very rude and honestly I’m ready for something and someone new. I come to see Dr. Hardy specifically and I can never see her anyway. I think I’m done with this particular establishment. P.S. one time I drove all the way from Dallas for my appointment, only for them to tell me that I missed it. I was 2 minutes late… I literally begged them and told them I came all the way from Dallas and they didn’t even bat an eye… they rescheduled me a month later and yes I made that journey from Dallas a month later. That should have been enough for me to walk away from them for good."
"Dr. Mason has an excellent bedside manner. She’s informative, and gentle. She was on time for my appointment (which is a really big deal to me). The rest of the office staff are all very friendly, helpful and professional. I’m happy to call Dr. Mason my new doctor."
"The office is clean, convenient, and appointments have been mostly efficient. Beyond that I have had negative experiences with 3(!) doctors in the practice. My original doctor was Dr. Hardy. I began seeing her when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I “saw” her throughout my pregnancy, but actually I mostly saw her nurse, Carly (who I actually think is quality). I was told I would see multiple doctors to be familiar with whoever was on call when Hardy was not. This never happened. Totally fine. However toward the end of my pregnancy when I needed a reliable doctor who was there for me, I was extremely let down. At 38 weeks, following a faulty ultrasound, Dr. Hardy sent me directly to the hospital and told me she was putting me on the induction schedule. Going to the hospital for more close examination was fine, but it took 8 hours to ultimately be hold my amniotic fluid was fine, baby was fine, everything looked good and I could go home. No follow up from Hardy that day or the next until I reached out to say, “now that I’ve been under close exam at the hospital for 8 hours and confirmed all is well, I do not want to be induced. I am happy and healthy, and baby is as well.” She pushed back harder staying that going past 40 weeks was extremely dangerous, and that if I declined the induction I could be putting the baby in harms way. THUS BEGINS THE TRIAGE OF SHAMING I HAVE RECEIVED FROM MULTIPLE DOCS WITHIN THIS PRACTICE COUPLED WITH A GENERAL LACK OF CARING AND PERSONAL CONSIDERATION. I went into labor at 41 weeks and 3 days naturally. After I pushed my (big) baby out, Dr. Mackintosh (who was literally only there for the last 10 minutes of my delivery - had no personal relationship with me and no understanding of my goals for my birth experience) made a snide comment about “bet you won’t wait 41 weeks the next time... Next time don’t put off induction” - my mom, who was in the room, was appalled that a doctor could watch me do this incredible thing (give birth) and then be met with any sort of rude or shaming comment. BTW- the baby was beautiful, healthy, and 10lbs 5oz, 22.5 inches long. BTW, Hardy was not present for any moment of my 20+ hour labor, nor was she reachable to sign off on my discharge paperwork, and finally, didn’t bother to reach out after I delivered this enormous baby. Ultimately this is fine, but if she didn’t care at all about my wellness, why was she such a bully about induction? I suspect it’s because induction was more convenient for her schedule. Negative experience 3 came with Dr. Mason. Dr. Hardy was unavailable (no surprise) so I went in for a well woman exam with Dr. Mason. I mentioned that I would like to start planning for our next child, so I was planning on beginning to wean breastfeeding, (i would still be feeding the baby breastmilk until 6 months) (had issues with overproduction, mastitis and clogged ducts, etc.) and asked what i should do to prepare, as I would like to start trying for baby number 2 in the next few months (baby one is 4.5 months old, it took us a long time to conceive the first time, and I’m already in my 30s). Dr mason said : “maybe you should just focus on feeding the baby that you already have.” That is a direct quote. WHAT?!? As though loving and feeding and caring for my baby is not my top priority? Also she literally did an exam and didn’t even bother to mention if everything looked good down there. I held off writing a review after Hardy because I didn’t want to shame the practice or nurse, Carly. I held off writing a review after my experience with Macintosh because I had a newborn and lots of other things to focus on. But this third experience is symptomatic of a cultural issue within the practice and I feel it’s important to share my experience with anyone who might want something more than a birth-factory experience where you are shamed for having any opinion (even well educated) on your birth experience or your family plan. I’m not sure, but I have to believe that there is something better out there than this."
"I’ve been coming to Bella for a few years and wanted to write this review after the birth of my first child. Dr. Mason has a great bedside manner and always thoroughly answered me and my husband’s questions. The postnatal care has also been wonderful - they truly care about you as a mama and patient. The portal is great for asking quick questions as well!"
