"I have been trying to schedule an appointment with Dr Miller for days. I get told theyll send her staff a message then her staff calls transfers me to a nurse who wont ever pick up the phone or return my calls. I called the scheduling department again today who cannot reach this nurse ither. Why wont someone schedule me an appointment? Why do i have to speak to a nurse who can't return my phone calls?"
"Jackie (Jacky) at the front desk is so rude. Maybe find another job if you don't have patience? I am not even going to give this place a try cause you could just detect the attitude in her voice. Maybe get some better office staff."
"Pros: Dr. Norton is amazing Cons: They are overloaded with patients and their billing practices are dishonest. Unfortunately if you need to get an appointment quickly because of pain or discomfort, you will still have to wait 2-3 months to get an appointment. That is what happened to me. When the day of my appointment finally came, I get a text message saying my apt was cancelled. I was very disappointed to hear this as I am currently making a career switch and my insurance coverage was going to be up that week. I pointed this out when the receptionist called to reschedule my appt. But there was no working with me. The following week I had my appointment and had to inquire what self-pay costs. She mentioned a price and I was fine with it, so I pay for it. She did not mention that it was only an estimate, which doesn’t make since with self-pay since it should just be a flat fee. A couple of days later I get another charge added to my account saying I owed more money for my appt. I inquire about it and they say that the payment I made was only an estimate and that the actually price gets charged later. This made me very upset as no one mentioned this to me ahead of time and I would have cancelled my appointment and waited for my new insurance policy had I known. Why are there estimates for self-pay anyways? That is ridiculous. I’m saying all of this, I’m VERY upset with HMOBGyn because THEY cancelled my appointment I had with them after 3 months of waiting and did not want to work with me on my insurance issue. I would also like to point out that I had blood work that costs $900 because of this rescheduled appointment. I will unfortunately be switching doctors as this was not the first billing issue I have had with them."
"I usually love my Doctor, and have a positive experience (or as positive as it can be at a OB/GYN.) Yesterday, my Doctor was not in the best mood, and subsequently, I didn’t remember all I needed to ask her at my six week post partum checkup. As someone who is struggling with the potentiality of post partum depression, this didn’t help. I am quite thankful I don’t have to return to my Doctor for quite some time."
"The only reason i am giving one star, is because Jessica Miller is fabulous. She’s a great doctor who really cares about you. However, the office staff has ruined it for me. I continued to give this office chance after chance, because i liked Dr Miller so much. Unfortunately, this was my last straw with them. My most recent issue, happened this passed week. They are rude and inconsiderate. I explained i had an emergency and needed to see the doctor ASAP, the office staff said “sorry i can’t get you in for another 2 1/2 weeks, but you can talk to the on call nurse”. The nurse never called me back, it took myself and my fiancé calling twice to have her finally speak to us. Then when she did say she’d call us back by the end of the day, she didn’t. She was clearly not concerned about my well being. (Dr. Miller is, but I’m sure she had no clue this was even going on) When we finally spoke to the nurse and expressed what was happening she told me to just take some ibuprofen and that is was a normal reaction. I tried and tried to explain that i know this wasn’t normal. Long story short, come to find out, it was in fact what i said.. not normal reaction. I went in this morning for my last visit, and as always the front office staff is SO RUDE. Especially the African American receptionist. I don’t even know her name, because that’s how unpersonal she is. This was my last straw, and i hate to leave Dr. Miller, but unless she gets the office staff under control i will not be back. If you work in the medical field, you should probably have a little heart to care about others! Or at least some customer service! Both of which, I’ve never received from this office. I really hope something changes, not for me, but for future women seeing Dr. Miller."
