"My son started at ILDS about a year ago after having a bad experience at another daycare. I never thought I’d see the day where he happily runs into any daycare. It is not the fanciest facility, but all of the teachers have been GREAT. We have not experienced any teacher turnover in the classes he has been in. It means the world to me knowing I am leaving him somewhere that genuinely cares about him!"

"Our child attended the daycare for about 9 months. I hate to be one of the only reviews that gives them one star but I waited almost a year to post this - we had high hopes going into this especially in the newborn to three month room. The teachers in the newborn room are fantastic and organized, they were really attentive. After he was moved to the 4 to 6 month room that is when things went downhill. The Director was very unprofessional and wanted to scold us- the parents as children. The Director refused to move my child to the next level with an age appropriate group, she said it was okay to have a 16 month old with 4-6 month olds, "he would become the leader of the group" - what about my son's education? They say they have a curriculum but not really. They generally don't take children under 18 months out for walks/strolls and are couped up all day. I will say that some of the teachers are caring and do love the children but there were some that were questionable/lazy. One of the teacher's husbands would be in the same room as my son and another kid at the end of the day. Why was he there? Has he been background checked? On another day, a different teacher was staring at my son crying and did not move to console him or anything, just watched. It was until she saw me enter the room she redirected him to a toy. Several times my son was not fed his meals and I couldn't understand why he was so hungry and grumpy until the next day I found his pre-packed meal leftover from the previous day. I feel like we tried, we had a meeting with Director and she insured us that my boy was happy and they love him and she will address all of our concerns. Great- I thought something positive would come out of that. A few weeks later it seemed there was always something going on. As a first time mom I thought I may be over thinking these issues but after talking to other daycare providers and other moms, I had a right to be concerned. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and saddened that this place so easily dismissed us, basically told us to leave and told other teachers to treat us with disdain. In our final meeting with the Director, she told us that if we were not confident in the care provided, we should seek daycare elsewhere. And that's what we did."

"I love ILDS and only wish we had gotten here sooner! We moved to Pflugerville and put our daughter in daycare at ILDS and absolutely love it. She has the best time, she tells us about all the things she has learned, and she is excited to go to school. The teachers and staff are fantastic. They are totally committed to making this school feel like a family environment and they have been successful! Our son is in the after school care program and they help him with homework. He loves it because then he doesn't have to do homework at home! I would give a million star review if it would let me."

"We chose Immanuel Day School because it's a small, loving, faith based teaching school. My children have loved their time as toddlers here. They came home each day singing a new song! They attend the after care program and it's wonderful to know they are picked up and taken here to finish their day. The Director has an open door and will listen to parents. Communication is key to success! I'm glad we chose ILDS as their home away from home."

"If you check the CPS website, ILDS has no non-self reported incidents. When you visit you can see why: Love. Love is what the beautiful people of this Day School bring to their children. I was a little nervous when my wife and I visited to get on the waiting list, because we are not religious, definitely not members of the Lutheran church, and both have visible tattoos. It didn't matter, and I shouldn't have worried. The church is open, loving, and accommodating of any special needs we have brought to them including unusual scheduling. They are clearly invested in my daughter and in the many other children that stay here. Their prices are shockingly reasonable, I would expect to pay almost half again what we do for the same quality care elsewhere. And the kids love it here. My daughter fights me to go home every day! If you are a parent looking for a reason to sign up, consider this your sign. This is the place."
