"I waited about a year to leave a review of Kiddie academy in pflugerville. My son went to this location for around a year and half until another vastly superior child care center in the area had room for him. A few things to note about our experience with Kiddie Academy of Pflugerville: 1. My son came home with bug bites constantly. His legs would be chewed up every week or so. When this was brought to the attention of the owners they were completely indifferent for some reason and wouldn’t even let me check the yard for ant piles. Grass was eventually replaced with artificial turf but the attitude of owners was a sign that I should have started looking for child care elsewhere. 2. There were several time’s when my sons water bottle would come back home completely untouched and he would be voraciously thirsty when he got home. There were also times when his water bottle would be bone dry when we came to pick him up. When this was brought to the attention of management it was met with indifference by staff and owners. 3. I’m unsure if she is still there, but there was a receptionist who seemed to have contempt for the parents who came to pick their children up. Always an absolutely horrible attitude towards my wife and I. I never understood why but now I know it’s probably because the owners feel the same way as her. 4. Zero interactions with parents from the teachers. We had no idea what happened during the day and it was such a zoo there really wasn’t the opportunity to have an insightful conversation with teachers/staff. 5. There is no curriculum for students that we saw. I believe I saw one teacher reading a book to a group of students once but nothing else of note. Within a couple months of my son attending another child care center, he started blossoming. Spend more money or find a higher quality solution than Kiddie Academy of Pflugerville, your children are well worth it and you won’t have to worry that your child is getting the care they need."

"My son attended this facility for 4 days before I removed him. He had been in daycare before, and always adjusted to change fairly well for a little kid. The first day he walked in, no problem and no tears. When I picked him up he was just wandering around the room crying, no one comforting him or even acknowledging the fact he was upset. The next few days, it was the same at pick up, but he also started crying and throwing a fit at drop off too. At home he stopped using his words, and resorted to tantrumming and even hitting (he had never hit before). On day 3 there, I asked the facility to give him his inhaler, and when I picked him up they said they didn’t think he needed it, so they didn’t give it to him. Most of the days his diaper was only changed 2 times, and he was there around 9 hours a day. The counters where they kept the water cups was filled with food crumbs. I mean I could go on and on, but once I removed him and put him at another facility, he was back to the kid I knew, using his words, the hitting stopped, and he was just so much happier. I was ready to quit my job just so I didn’t have to send him back there."

"Began working at the Pflugerville location. The honeymoon lasted about 2 months and I began to see the selfishness, unrelenting and disrespectful ways of the owners. The husband owner would curse and call employees names and yell at us (them). There was an employee before me that would hide in the resource closet to cry from his abusive behavior. He always underpaid his employees and treated the parents as dollar signs. He would lie and discriminate who received the camera access. The staff would constantly have to lie to the parents as to why the camera access was no longer an option. He literally walks behind you to see what you are doing and saying exactly what he wants you to do and say. They claims in the tours that his teachers have degrees and most do not. They are first time and not trained teachers in a classroom full of kids. They are really running a babysitting situation not a learning center. They've had teachers leave children in classrooms or out in the playground by themselves and are merely slapped on the hand and kept on and even given raises. They've neglected to report this situations. The parent's bank accounts are always being drawn of money and even if you've paid 1 1/2 month ahead, they'll keep drawing money just so their wallet fattens. Teachers that have have medical issues are made to feel guilty for being out of work or taking care of their families. A couple of them were terminated after informing owners of their medical condition. They have three schools that are barely thriving and the overworked teachers and cooks are paying the price."

"The staff team is disorganized. The owner is rude and doesn’t know how to talk to people. He falsely advertises to get employees who eventually leave within 6 months because of this among other things. They also don’t have enough teachers for all the kids since a lot of teachers including directors have quit. So they don’t meet the teacher to student ratios. Besides that your kids are safe there."
