"I attended “Cottages In The Woods" on Sunday October 22nd in the beautiful wooded grounds of Good Templar Park in Geneva, Illinois. The fall colors were spectacular as we visited each of 16 adorable cottages hosting talented artists demonstrating and selling Pottery, Woodworking, Rosemaling, Jewelry, Watercolor Art and More. There was also great food and music—just an all around wonderful day!"
"This place is a true "hidden gem" in the Chicagoland area. The actual ship that sailed across the Atlantic to be displayed at the Chicago World's Fair is here. Not a replica. Not a photograph. The real ship!"
"I am a coordinator from a local reenactment group and we were invited to attend the Swedish festival fathers day of 2018. We have returned for this event multiple times and love being apart of it! The park association has always been very accommodating for our group and the public are a lot of fun to interact with and put on shows for. Looking forward to many years to come of Northland Vikings at Good Templar Park for the Swedish festival!"
"Adorable Cottage in the Woods fest. Only opportunity to see the charming tiny cottages along with great variety of crafts and home made pastries and food trucks to keep you going. Lots of handicap parking was also very close to the houses and helpful."
"The food sales we're all over and the one Swedish singing group I just finished when I came in. I did get an ice cream cone. But the Viking exhibit was open. The Viking ship was built in Norway and 12 sailors sailed it across the Atlantic through the Great Lakes to Chicago for the World's Fair of 1893. It is well worth your time to look at it and hear the story about it."
