"Joella Exley Elementary is in our zone and my younger kid has been attending the Joella Exley school for last two years. He has been enjoying her school years without any issues. Overall excellent school with excellent school rating, good teachers and staff"
"Both of my kids attended Exley for Elementary school, and I couldn't have been more impressed. The teachers and administration are both great, and they have better technology in the classrooms than most businesses."
"I have two of my kids attending Exley and we have never had any issues. Both of them have had Mrs. Wyngarden for pre-k and she has been amazing with them! I am sad that my youngest won't have her since we are moving. In response to an earlier post, 4 year olds are NOT helpless unless people make them helpless. Education starts at home."
"Two of our kids are attending to Exley and from all aspects it is a great elementary school. BTW, in regards to one of the reviews here, both my kids have been in Ms. Wyngarden's class and she is an excellent pre-K teacher. I am surprised to see someone is allowed to publish such an hostile review for a very good teacher. Just to keep in mind, schools are to fulfill just part of our kids' education starts within the family."
"In general we think this school is great; however what ruined the experience for us is the Pre-K teacher Serrina Wyngarden. For some reason she has the believe that Pre-K children are to be treated like adults, we had an incident with her that our child came crying home because Wyngarden yelled at her, threw her belongings in tote bag all over the floor and made the child pick the stuff up in-front of the other kids (we are talking about a helpless 4 yrs/old here) We had another parent who reported a similar incident, we don’t know if she has issues out of school or other problems making her behaving irrationally, but as a Pre-K parent this is beyond acceptable. After the incident we had other teachers warning us about her irresponsible actions, it wasn’t just us, it wasn’t just the other parent, this prompted us to talk to the principal, we don’t think this lady should be allowed near children, specially at this age, as we write this review we know there are other two parties (including a teacher) reporting a similar complaint against her. We are following up the issue with the principal now and will escalate to the ISD level if this is not resolved. Apart from this this was a great experience, the school had a lot of fun events and enriching curriculum."
