"I LOVE Daybreak Salon!! I’ve been coming here for a while and absolutely nothing but fantastic things to say about this place! I would recommend a million times! I spent a few months trying to find a good Aveda salon when I moved to Lake Zurich, and Daybreak offers exactly what I was looking for and more!!"

"Inexperienced technician left burns all over my mom’s face while waxing. She had to go to the ER and has medical documentation that says this happened. It took months for it to heal. My mom confronted the owner (Imelda) and she was incredibly rude and dismissive. She and I have been going to this place for years and supporting their business, even when they moved to a smaller location. She did not take any accountability and neither did Lorena (the technician). Jessie (Jacinta) used to be the owner, and she was a sweet and down to earth women. It’s disappointing to see someone with such little moral and professional character take over. Please do not go here! There are many other hardworking small businesses and salons with AVEDA hair artists in Lake county that deserve your money. Imelda deserves nothing but closed doors and an empty salon. I personally recommend Alberta Mendoza at Phenix Hair Salons in Libertyville :)"

"I would give 0 stars if I could. Jacinta was the sweetest person and after she left this place went downhill. It is unfortunate that she sold her business to a complete clown. Imelda is a useless and terrible owner and will (hopefully) run this joke of a business into the ground. Lorena is completely inexperienced especially with waxing. She completely burned my mother's face and when she came home her face was swollen, burnt, and covered in scabs. She had to go in the emergency room, went to her doctor, got prescribed medication and she's in pain several days later. Imelda is rude and disrespectful with the mentality of a 15 year old girl. When confronted, she didn't even apologize or anything. She tried to brush the whole situation under the rug and claimed that Lorena knew what she's doing after seeing my mother's burnt face and seeing her in pain. She has no empathy and you should not let her near your hair or face either. All she cares about is herself and she’s incredibly selfish. Absolutely disgusting. Every time I've gone there to get my hair colored they've always made a mistake and never gave me what I wanted, even after showing them pictures. Last time I went there and asked for blue, and they literally put brown dye on my hair. Overall, this place is a waste of your time, and filled with inexperienced, disrespectful, and irresponsible people."

"I have been going to Imelda for years. And love her! She is the owner of this spa now and I am super excited for her and her staff! Imelda is the most patient, accommodating stylist I have ever had. The salon is intimate and they focus totally in customer satisfaction no longer what it takes. I wanted to shake things up with my hair color recently. I have been very blonde for decades and wanted to add some darker color to my hair. I went in with photos and Imelda just shook her head and explained that I would not like that at all! That is how well she knows me. She made some suggestions to my idea and altered them and made a very slight change, that I completely love and am so happy she didn’t let me go as dark as I thought I wanted, it would have been way too dark! It was perfect. She is like a master artist! Everyone there is excellent and super friendly, such a great place to spend some girl time!"

"Came here for the first time because my husband purchased a gift certificate package for me. The two ladies who took care of me did a REALLY NICE JOB with my manicure, pedicure and hair being styled. I chose to pay extra to have my eyebrows done along with my hair cut since it was going to be washed & styled anyways. 10/10 WOULD GO BACK AGAIN! I can't wait to get my hair colored there as well!
