Reviews
"Mass was wonderful and the congregation was very welcoming for visitors to the parish. The music ministry sings beautifully. The architecture in the church is sublime and I enjoyed taking a look at the stations of the cross as I walked in. The community seems very kind."
"Church does a free laser light show of Texas culture and history on its facade at 9pm. Not sure what days, but the show was pretty amazing. Lasted almost a half hour. Easy access for many people to watch. Public restrooms opposite from church near Riverwalk entrance."
"Loved visiting the oldest cathedral in the US. The church is open to all to take in its splendor. Beautifully maintained and managed. Every evening Tue-Sun they have a light and sound show (San Antonio - the saga) on the grounds which is so very well done and is a must see."
"The state offers a free guided tour. The tour does not go through the church, as it is a functioning church. But it does tour the grounds, learn history, what was original to the site, etc. Would recommend going. It was beautiful and educational in an interesting way. Great photo opportunities. If interested, anyone may attend Sunday services. There is also a small gift shop."
"Beautiful Cathedral both inside and out. The appearance is gorgeous. There is a tomb inside the left entrance that holds the remains of the four lead defenders at the Alamo."
