"Ericson Lumber is easy to get to but, without prominent signs, it can be difficult to find. The staff answered the phone and were helpful. There is a great variety of woods available. I chose shorter stock, due to my project, which allowed for a discount in price. The place is a d.i.y. Woodworkers paradise. Located in “New” Windsor they are closed on Monday’s."

"Enjoyed my first visit to Ericson's last Saturday. Quite a large selection of oak, maple, cherry, walnut, poplar, basswood, cedar, catulpa, elm, and more. Wide boards and shorts too. Mostly 4/4 but did see some 6/4 and 8/4 on display and there appeared to be a lot of lumber in stacks too. Prices are reasonable. The boards I purchased were surfaced 2 sides. I'm told they will straight line rip one side on request. They also offer sanding for wide glue-ups and table tops. There are some moldings and specialty boards in the showroom, and a display of reasonably-priced CMT router bits. I visited with Robert for a bit who is not the owner but seems to manage the place. They have no website or web presence, no price sheets available, and they don't take credit cards (cash or check only). If you are looking for something, give them a call to check price and inventory. The facility is larger than I expected and there are multiple buildings. When you arrive, stay to the right. Park and enter at the retail showroom, the first building on the right."

"Just got about 60 board feet of red oak from this place. 2.95/bd/ft. Dealt with the owner, a man of few words and business-like, but helpful and seems fair and honest. Just ask for what you want. Nice quality lumber and wide selection of wood. Walnut, cherry, bass, birch, aromatic cedar, maple, oak and a few others. Also has various mouldings and trims available. No complaints."
