"Worst experience for me in a long time. Mother was in hospice at local nursing home. We needed to cash in her annuity and was told by company to send in Power of Attorney. Did that and asked how long it would take. I explained we needed the money as soon as possible to pay expenses for her. The company told me 2 weeks at most. Almost a month later and they finally got the check mailed. But it was mailed to the wrong address. In my email containing the Power of Attorney, and every single detail of my contact information, I specifically stated where to send the check - to my mother’s bank back home. Nobody is living at her home! Had a person doing some work at her home one day and they called me to say there was an envelope from an insurance company there. I asked them to open it and yes, the check was at her home. Very, very frustrating. Update on my earlier post. Received an email and a call from the President of the company. He explained what had happened, apologized and was extremely nice and gracious. Admittedly, I was not in a good place when I first posted, but knowing the company took time to research the issue and then reach out and personally call me to explain and apologize demonstrates National Farm Life’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Thank you so very much for your effort in this."
