Mona's Italian Foods

"My wife and I decided to take a road trip yesterday and eat at Mona's for the first time. Right away, we felt welcomed. We ordered the pretzel and fried chicken which was a special with a side, salad, and spaghetti. We added tortellini to the spaghetti. The pretzel and the chicken were both incredible, the fried chicken was the best I've had in many years. The red meat sauce is something special too, not overpowering on the tomato or sweetness. Service was great and we were asked by several workers how our meal was and thanked for coming in. The place was full of regulars on a Thursday evening and now we know why, we will be back!"

"Any bad review on here was not our experience. We were greeted warmly entering the bar. Our waitress was nice and attentive. I had fried chicken family style and my husband had shrimp pasta. We enjoyed everything so much we even had ice cream for dessert. Five stars all around!"

"Unfriendly waitress. No greeting or smile. My food was inedible. The grilled chicken sandwich was charred, dry and tough. The fries had obviously sat awhile under a heat lamp. They were hard and dry. One person was asked how the food was and then she left right away before I could say anything. When we checked out I was going to speak to the manager but he was busy on the phone. My husband's chicken was good and thankfully he gave me some of his to eat. And the bread was good. Not a holiday atmosphere at all 4 days before Christmas. I was really disappointed and won't be back."

"Always great food, great service, nice atmosphere. I would recommend the fried chicken, chicken breast supreme sandwich with fries, or the spaghetti covered in a savory red meat sauce. I do appreciate the red sauce at Mona's is not sweet like nearly every single Italian restaurant. The red meat sauce makes this place stand out among the rest. Fresh baked Italian bread with butter is complimentary for the table and this can be combined with olive oil and grated parmesan cheese for a nice snack while you're waiting for your meal. A+"

"Mona's is worth the drive. The ambiance, the food, and the service take you back to another time. Italian food at a pice that cannot be beat! Make sure you order family style with non-italian meals to get the full experience. At $3.50 you will not think twice about whether to make your meal family style or not."
