"I purchased a pair of Allen Edmonds for over $450 including tax. I had a good initial experience with the staff. Within 2 months, a large splotch appeared over the left shoe front. I couldn't figure out what had happened as I had not worn them in any unusual conditions. I tried to cover up the splotch with polish and then shoe cream with no luck. I took the shoe to a local cobbler who told me the "blemish stain" (a stain they apply at the end of the tanning process to some, often cheaper leather to make all the shoe colors homogenous) had worn away and it would take him a week to fix. He told me to take the pair back to Allen Edmonds as this represents a defect with the shoe and they are quite expensive. I took it back, and the manager insisted I had caused the defect by applying "brown shoe polish to a walnut shoe" and was rude about it. My overall impression is they are overpriced for the quality and the customer service is marginal."
"Wow! I walked into the storefront and was immediately greeted with a smiling face. Cortney immediately asked about what type of shoe was interested in and in what color. As she helped me to correctly put on the shoe her knowledge became apparent. She was extremely informative as to why these shoes were top notch and how they compared against the competition. She suggested additional purchases based on what I was saying, as if helping me to get correctly equipped rather that upselling me on unneeded purchases. She advised me of upcoming sales and even went so far as to have my shoes shipped from the factory because the coloring of the shoe that was in stock was not perfect. I cannot say enough how pleasant of an experience this was and how much I look forward to shopping at this location in the future."
"Just left Allen Edmonds. Jonathan helped us...he was amazing. Incredibly patient, knowledgeable and gave great tips/suggestions. We left with two perfect pairs of shoes. I cannot recommend him or the store more highly."
