"I recently purchased a mountain bike online and decided to purchase a helmet in person to make sure it fit. I walked in the store and was greeted by Kyle and told him I just purchased a bike and was looking for a helmet. I spoke with him for almost an hour and it was clear he has decades of first hand experience in cycling. He explained the science behind the helmet technology and helped me choose the best helmet for my egg shaped head. He also suggested I store a bike pump and spare tubes in my bike water bottle which I thought was genius. On a side note, he looks like he should be on an REI commercial or billboard as I can tell he spends a lot of time outdoors."

"Overall, my experience at REI was generally positive, but an incident at the counter was less than ideal. My mother tried to return a pair of pants that didn't fit comfortably, adhering to REI's return policy. However, the staff member at the counter cautioned her about treating the store's flexible policy as a rental service, ultimately denying the return. This interaction was both uncomfortable and seemed unnecessary. My mom, being kind-hearted, chose not to respond and simply left. I'm sharing this feedback in the hopes that REI will use it to improve their customer service training, particularly in how returns are handled and communicated. Additionally, on a recent visit to purchase a small item from the resupply section, the same staff member approached my mom and girlfriend to lecture them about stricter enforcement of account-sharing rules. This approach felt excessive and unwarranted."

"They won't reprint the receipt even though they are able to and able to pull it up on their systems and they won't let me take a screenshot of my purchase because the two Hoka pairs of shoes I bought both went bad within 6 months and since they won't reprint the receipt I'm screwed out of over $250. Business still operates like they're using pen and paper order online somewhere else so you have peace of mind. Called customer service and they said that they could see it but since I wasn't able to scan my credit card through the phone which I had mentioned to the people in the store that they couldn't give it to me either. Customer service is just total trash"

"I always choose to come here any chance I get because they are always so knowledgeable and willing to help with anything you need. The lady Tina that works in the bike shop was very helpful and polite. She knew exactly what she was doing and was happy to help. Just another reason I give REI five stars"

"Pros - Staff members were friendly and helpful, especially Taylor, Dayna, CC, and Aspen. - Store was organized and clean - Restroom: 2nd floor, clean - Check out line was short and quick Notes (some details may vary depending on location, so double check with your local store) - Upcoming sales: 1) Gear Up Get Out Sale event 2022: 11/12- 11/21 2) Cyber Monday 2022: 11/26-12/5 - Trade-in section (to buy need membership): on 1st floor, all the way back on the right side - Current promotion (as of 10/26/22) 1) $30 bonus (basically covers the life time membership fee) with purchase of $50 worth of items 2) 10% off full price socks if purchase 3 pairs"
