"The line to enter was very long during this past Saturday. Cover was originally $25, but as the line got longer, the staff told everyone that cover was now $30. Annoying but... whatever. When I finally get to the entrance to pay my cover, the front lady tries to charge me $35. I call her out on it and tell her that the other staff member just told everyone 5 minutes ago that cover was was $30. She lies and tells me that the extra $5 is for tax. I tell her that tax is not included in that number because her device shows that tax was actually an additional $2.26. Then she lies AGAIN and tells me that the $30 is for people in the cash only line. When I pay and get in, my 3 other friends that also paid with card and got in at the same exact time as me only paid $30. Increasing cover at the door just because the line is long certainly leaves a sour taste in my mouth. However, overcharging people at your own discretion and then lying to them about it when they clearly tell you they know what's going on is absolute worst service. To the owners and management, I recommend you address this type of behavior immediately, otherwise, I guarantee this type of customer experience will run you out of business. The nightlife in Houston is competitive, and people expect better than this sleazy and scummy behavior."

"So heartbroken! No vayan! This used to be the BEST spot for reggaeton in the city. Paradise Palace is now Mala Vida with emphasis on the “MALA” because it’s turned awful. This place used to be packed on the weekends and now it’s like this… empty. The most ICONIC part of this place was the neon ceiling over the dance floor. It was one of the very few places in Houston that actually had a large dance floor right in front of the DJ booth that you didn’t need to buy a booth to be near. It was so fun! It’s a shame that it’s been taken down and replaced with all these booths lining the wall. Also, I don’t know what happened to the old DJs who used to always play there (Poniboy and Suxxy Puxxy) they knew how to turn the place up! Now it’s just random DJs who can't even mix Nesquik and milk. Such a shame for this place to have lost its charm :( P.S. in the video you can see the what the old place was like."

"I had a great time here! There was a cover fee but once you get inside it’s very photo op friendly. Lots of space. And its very Miami scenery. The drinks were nice and strong. The only thing I didn’t really like was the music. 90’s hip hop. I felt that it didn’t really fit the scene."

"Went in on their perreo night so music was great. There was no cover before 10(at least on this night) Really well decorated place with photo ops. Drinks were decently priced. Just wished the soap dispenser in the men's restroom actually worked. Parking can be pricey around there."
