"Rude owner, given price for repairs and whe pick up car its Dubled. Untrustworthy owner and son."
"These guys are hands down the best and I’ll will never go anywhere else to take my German cars. Plus Rocky greets you at the window with a bark. Perfect. Jobs they’ve done for me oil changes, several brakes and rotor jobs and alignments. Very honest on price and they let you know when things are getting close on needing service under the hood. Thanks Guys"
"This is the third time I’ve taken my Jetta TDI to Hessen auto. First time experience was pretty fast and well done. Straight up front with me. Second time I took it cause it was blowing a lot of smoke from idk where. But he was nice enough to just check it and tell me it was oil that had spilled due to and oil change and to drive it more around it will eventually burn it off. Which it did. This time I blew the turbo. Not a fun thing to fix but I give it up to the guy. He took the job. Others rejected me and didn’t want to deal with it. He took his time which I kinda liked cause I know that way it was done right. And not rush it. Hands down this is the best place to take your Euro car to. Gave me advice and some tips. Pretty cool guy. Understand some times people have to deal with pretty hard labor and annoying parts so I could understand if they would be in moody attitude in which they never gave me but I’m speaking on the bad reviews they got. Thanks Hessen auto."
"If you own a German car, this is by far the best place to go. Honest and knowledgeable, Hessen doesn’t charge $180 upfront like a dealer just to look at your car. A must for cars out of warranty."
"I was referred to Hessen Auto by another mechanic that I trust and the first job they did was to replace the EGR cooler on my 2011 BMW 335D and saved me 50% of what the dealer wanted to charge. The biggest headache they were able to resolve was an intermittent problem I was having with my wife’s 2011 Mini Cooper S, which turned out to be a the fuel pump. They kept my Mini Cooper for over 3 weeks or more until they figured out the issue and replaced exactly what was causing the problem! I saw a couple of negative reviews which implied that Hessen auto was dishonest and incompetent and I can tell you that is furthest from the truth based on my experience. They knew I had spent a lot of money already trying to fix the Mini Cooper and they personally made it their mission to find the root cause and resolve it! Also, something was said about an Angry old man answering the phone, I believe his name is Dieder and while I tend to agree he comes across as a little bit rough around the edges. I really believe it is his accent more than anything for the reason that he may lead you to believe that he is an angry old man. My point is that these folks know what they are doing and you are putting you car in the right hands when you take it to them. I live in Brookfield and they are in Des Plaines so that is far and should tell you something and I will continue to use them going forward. It is hard to find trustworthy shops that know what they are doing and are not super expensive that work on BMWs and MINI Coopers.."
