"I stopped by at 8:20 pm to pick up some meds and decided to go inside instead of the usual drive-thru. Diya asked the usual questions, date of birth, address, cell number, rewards number, then she asked for the driver license which I did not have. As a clinician myself, i was wearing a shirt that identified my clinic name and my name. I am all for asking for identification but why go through all the questioning to verify information that is on the Driver's License, then turn around and ask for it? Why not start with asking for the driver License and spare both of us 10 minutes of valuable time that could have been invested somewhere else. I often go through the drive-thru and never been asked for a driver license even when i pick up for family members as long as i answer two magical questions, date of birth and home address. I get verifying Identification, but let's just use some common sense. Do one or the other. If i was an impostor, and somehow managed to know there are meds to be picked up, got the address right, the date of birth right, the cell phone number right, the reward number right, and even managed to steal a shirt that has my name on it that actually fits well, wouldn't I have managed to fake a driver's license too at that point ? The pharmacist looked up towards me and then went back to his business. I still don't have the meds, now I have to get the prescription rerouted to Kroger pharmacy where I am banking on the fact they will have more common sense and just ask for the ID first and save the deposition."

"I called this Walgreens to see if they had a pain medicine I was trying to get filled for my husband after his knee surgery. I spoke with the pharmacy tech who was very rude an then was transferred to the pharmacist who was even ruder! She asked if my husband was a customer of her Walgreens I was told that I had to come in and I would then be told whether or not the prescription could be filled?? So I went in to the pharmacy and again was treated rudely by the pharmacy tech who told me that I would have to talk to the pharmacist. I said I would be happy to speak to her. It was 915am and no other customers waiting. I was totally ignored for 20 minutes by the pharmacist. I asked twice if she was going to speak with me and was told she would be with me in a few minutes. She was in plain sight and within a short distance to hear my conversation with the tech. She never looked away from her computer. I finally asked for my husbands prescription back and thanked them for nothing. The prescription I was trying to get filled was for a very strong pain medication and I believe that I was being treated like I was trying to do something illegal!! I left and called the Walgreens in Dickinson and was treated completely different. I was not asked if my husband was a customer nor was I told I had to come to the store before telling me if they could fill the prescription. I was treated very professionally and courteously. I don't understand the difference between the Walgreens stores. I do know that I will never use or recommend anyone to the Walgreens on Calder in League City!!!"
