"I came for a covid vaccine however I don't have insurance. Long story short I got my shot without paying despite not having insurance, but the young man who was at the desk spoke to me maybe 4 times. It was over 20 minutes of me waiting and he would not say a word on what was going to happen. (Even walked away to go use another computer for a moment) My point is that a lot of confusion could have been avoided if he simply said what he was doing. Felt like I was being ignored for the majority of my visit."
"As I walked into the store, I heard two female workers gossiping rather loudly about a customer that was inside the store or had just left. One may have been management judging by the uniform. Red flag. I pick up a few items, then go to the pharmacy line, wait in line for almost 15 minutes (red flag), and approach. The pharmacist was RUDE and acted as if my presence was unwanted, to say the least. That was before I began talking. I sat down a toy for daughter(she always gets a toy when I'm out of town on business), DIABETIC test strips, DIABETIC socks, and DIABETIC travel lancets. He asks if im dropping off or picking up. I say picking up. I give him name, and as he types, I tell him that I need DIABETIC insulin syringes and begin to explain my situation of misplacing my travel case with DIABETIC supplies. He interrupts me mid sentence, stops typing, and says, "we don't have any." Perplexed, I say," none at all? That is a first. Are you sure?" I tell him situation again, try to anyways. He then says that they are "prescription only" because of the "crackheads." I tell him I understand (although I'm fairly certain crack heads smoke their drugs) and convince him to type in my name so he can see for himself that I'm indeed a valid insulin dependent diabetic and not just a "crackhead" buying 30 plus dollars of diabetic supplies to sneak my way into the exclusive diabetic club. He sighs, types, then gets upset that the prescription on file are old and were already filled. Basically, I was scolded for seeing through his initial deception of being completely sold out and scolded for being a crackhead even though his system showed me as having filled insulin there before unless he believed I somehow was cured of diabetes and was buying a bunch of testing items to trick him into selling me a syringe. Luckily for me, I was able to drive around the corner to an urgent care since my bloodsugar was critical. This is perhaps the most pathetic excuse for a pharmacy I have yet to see and could prove very dangerous since customers are unethically and automatically lumped into a category "Drug addicted subhuman.""
"My kid got detected with RSV and flu on Dec 25th during Christmas. All stores were out of Tylenol and Acetaminophen for kids. This walgreen got the Acetaminophen of different brand that helped and also told us a 24/7 pharmacy address which can provide prescribed meds. These are compassionate people working in this pharmacy."
"I have covid currently. they took 3 days on the test, finally I called them to see what was going on, for them to say it was undecided. Apparently they were never going to say anything. Went in to get re-tested and they finally found it to be positive. Promised a follow up call for next steps. Didn't get that either. This kind of laxness with testing and communication is crazy, especially after I was found to be positive. Do y'all not care about this pandemic and the rate of spreading??"
"If you are wanting the vaccine please do not waste your time doing a walk in even if the website says they take them. After driving across town to make it by 5. Then asking if we needed to wait in the prescription line for the vaccine (which was long)and being told yes. They informed us they are not taking walk ins. When I pointed out the website says they are she says well we just haven't had time to change it. Had we been told when we first arrived I could have made it to another place to get the vaccine since we are limited on days and times we are able to make it there. Instead they told us to get in the line just to tell us they can't give it to us."
