"So I brought in my son's jeans that didn't fit. Tags still on, but no receipt. I tried to exchange, but they very rudely (the manager) wouldn't unless it was the exact jeans in a different size. Originally she said it had to be pants for pants. So we grabbed a different style and they then said has to be exact style. They were incredibly rude. So we left and I contacted Corp and over 2 weeks later they sent me a stock return policy email. With Amazon out there and so many other options why would you go here."

"I had a horrible experience at The Children's Place in Rosemont, (Fashion Outlets of Chicago). It was bad enough to write the corporate office, and share on Facebook and Google. They are getting one star just so I can leave a review. I wouldn't give them any stars. I went to exchange two long sleeve t-shirts that my daughter received for X-Mas. I was not given a gift receipt unfortunately. One of the shirts I was able to find the same one in a larger size. The other one I had to get a different shirt. The sales associate/manager was the only person at the time. She was very defensive and telling me without a receipt I had to get the same items and started to try to tell me about the so-called store policy. I would not have had a problem with that, but one of the shirts was not available in my daughter's size. The employee was very rude and condescending. She did end up doing the transaction, but she acted like it was a big deal, and acted as if I was a criminal, low-class citizen. I was treated as if I stole the clothes. After she did the transaction she would not provide me with a receipt and threw it in the garbage. I've been shopping at Children's Place for years. My daughters are 13 and 8, and pregnant with another girl. I've been a faithful customer to Children's Place. This experience has made me not want to shop at Children's Place again. Also the store was in shambles and very disorganized. After looking at the appearance of the store I was ready to walk out, and did not even want to look at anything else to buy. I got there between 9:30-9:45am. It was too early for it to look so bad. This sales associate/manager lacks customer service skills, and people skills on a whole. This store and corporation should be ashamed of this store, appearance, and employees. The store looked like it was not cleaned properly before leaving Christmas Eve. I will find other children's stores to shop for my girls."
