"The 20 Doric (not Corinthian!) limestone columns of this graceful fountain (originally dedicated, as I recall, to cancer survivors) were recycled in 1968 from the two wings on either side of the old Miller Memorial Theatre, built "as a permanent bandstand" in neoclassical style about 1923. It was replaced by the current Miller Theatre, built in 1968, which stands before "Miller hill" --formed from dirt excavated from Fannin Street to make room for the growing Medical Center."

"I was just walking by on my way to the museum so nothing too exciting about the structure but it is good for pictures and I did see the craziest princess prom dress I've ever seen on a human in real life when I was leaving the museum taking pictures there! Like most of Houston you just never know."
