Oberle Meats (Beef Sausage and Boneless Deer Processing)

"Normally one of the friendliest meat markets I have been in. Today a different vibe. Not a smile or how are you. Drove from DeSoto to St Genevieve to be poorly dissapointed by cutomer service. Seemed that the lady behind the counter was frustrated by my questions. Talked with Manager of the day and he shrugged his shoulders and was like "And". I guess this is the new normal for this place of business."

"First, customer service was wonderful. After I mentioned I had not been in the store before, I was offered a sample of the delicious garlic cheese that they make in house, their very own Oberle sausage, and some of their Kraków sausage. And, they made my lunch, a smoked pork loin sandwich, at 10:30 AM, which was awesome. The garlic cheese was soft and creamy, like something you could spread on crackers, and it was delicious. The Kraków was almost like ham (but better!!) and it was very nice. The Oberle sausage - wow! It kind of looked like a dry version of a Polish sausage, but it was softer and tender (no gristly bits!), garlicky and pretty much just melted in my mouth (the guy serving me had peeled the casing off, thank you!). My smoked pork loin sandwich was absolutely perfect, four thick slices of smoked pork loin, cheddar cheese (you can choose whichever cheese you want), and a big smear of mustard on thick rye bread. I want another one!! Oh, did I mention that this fantastic sandwich was only $3.50?! Absolutely a place to stop for some good meat (they have fresh meats in addition to smoked meats and sausages, cheeses, and other miscellaneous products) if you are in the Ste Genevieve area! I was told that their products can be bought at most Dierbergs and Schnucks stores up here in the St. Louis area, so I will have to look for them!"
