"We just moved here so our goal is to explore. Yesterday we checked out this Leon Valley library as our closest library was closed. My toddler loved it! Very spacious toddler area, lots of toys for pretend play and there was a class going on with tot songs. I loved the art work on the walls as I could see all of my childhood favorite stories in the illustration. The staff was super friendly and helpful even though I didn't find the books I was looking for this time. We did meet a few nice families!"
"Friendly staff always tries to help if you request it. Lots of activities. Tries to explain that they are a Leon Valley public city library and not at all part of the San Antonio public city library system (like trying to check out a book if you live in Wisconsin, without getting a local card) though often has a bit of trouble getting that across to people (so LV residents can get a card free, others pay a tax equivalency fee for being from out-of-town, though a TexShare card can get over that hurdle). Still, they let you participate in just about everything except checking items out if you don't have a card, which is pretty cool."
"Excellent library in the Leon Valley, staff are always cool minded and smiley face when you need any assistance. For kids, there is a separate place for them to enjoy reading books, computer Games and Toys. Adults have separate place for reading. They do conduct kids events and learning activities for adults. Overall experience was good with this place."
