"The good: The doctor and nurses are WONDERFUL. I had a great experience with them and they were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The bad: I would not recommend going here. The billing is sketchy. I was told - and it was put in writing - what I would owe for the "rush" allergy shots and was told they'd spoken with insurance. It was not expensive so I agreed to do it, and I took the required steroids and all of the other medication like the inhaler leading up to it + took a full day off work for the appointment. Imagine my surprise when I showed up and was told I owed them $600 for the treatment. The receptionist tried to make me pay it on the spot even though I said this was news to me and had questions. She then tried to get me to pay half on the spot. I tried to refuse treatment and say I no longer wanted to do the allergy shots if it would cost $600 because I wasn't ever warned about that, and she said it was too late and there was no way to get out of that bill. She showed zero empathy and was entirely unhelpful. The nurses and doctor were wonderful and the doctor was surprised because she'd also been told I wasn't going to owe that much. I sat on the phone with my insurance while in the office and finally figured out what was going on and it was a mistake on the Allergy Clinic's part in their billing department when they did the initial inquiry into cost. The person in charge of that at the Allergy Clinic wasn't in the office, so I left and called the next day to talk to him. He still tried to get me to pay the $600 until I threatened a lawsuit and then he waived the fee. I'm sure it was a simple mistake as I know insurance codes and billing can be confusing, but this is their full time job and they should know better. And, if it was going to actually be $600 which was drastically more than they told me it would cost, they should have called in advance to tell me of their mistake and ask if I still wanted to pursue treatment with this new, drastically higher cost. I would have said no and could have avoided taking steroids unnecessarily and missing a day of work. I had negative health side effects from the steroids for weeks and am horrified I had to take them unnecessarily. There are so many great allergy clinics in Houston so I would highly recommend going elsewhere as a mistake like this is inexcusable."

"A very thorough process beginning with comprehensive patient history. A lot of explanations, which I particularly appreciate. Everyone seemed to be good listeners. And each reviewed the chart before seeing me, so each caregiver was building on what the others had already learned. It's not the fanciest or newest place in town, but it may well be the cleanest. Five out of five on my opinion."
