"It's a great neighborhood-type place. I hadn't been here for almost 20 years, but being in the area and wanting a good burger, well there I was. My wife had a chicken wrap she loved. My aunt had the small Hackney Burger, which she loved. And I went with the classic Hackney Burger with American. It was as great a burger as I remembered. The bottomless fries didn't hurt either, though, to be honest, the three of us barely finished the first plate. The place was warm and comfy, perfect for a cold afternoon. The inside isn't posh, but the service was as great at the food."

"The burger was well seasoned and really juicy but I'll have to try it again with another bread other than rye. The onion brick is a fun experience and something you should try at least once. I really enjoyed the service at Hackney's. Our server was very kind and noticed when we were running out of things."

"What a hoot! We had dinner at H on H in one of their outdoor geodesic domes (extra charge $5 and worth it). The domes are in the outdoor patio, covered with plastic and warmed with electric heaters. There’s a zip-open door to get in and out, and zip-open windows through which servers take orders and deliver your food. Table big enough for six, nice and quiet, and, of course, the burgers and fried onions are first rate as always. Servers checked in regularly to make sure we had what we needed. One suggestion: provide carafes of coffee rather than delivering one cup at a time."

"In the first place you need more stars for the atmosphere. This is the coolest place possible to have a romantic dinner. It has a magical feel, it is private, it is heated, it is cozy, there is rain on the roof at least today which makes it even better, the waitress is very friendly and helpful and nice to be around, the food is excellent. The prices are very reasonable."
