Salsa Street

"Do not come to this establishment. First of all, it is not clear that there are two Mexican restaurants side-by-side. I was in between business appointments, and I was eating by myself. Usually, I would use the restroom prior to going to my table so that I don't have to leave my purse and coat unattended. I went into the restroom and the owner followed me into the restroom to tersely announce that it was not a public restroom. I informed her that I intended to eat in the restaurant. FYI, the restaurants are connected on the inside. It is obvious that one is a walk up window, and the other one is sit down. I went to sit down in a booth and place my order. The same woman/owner came to take my order but before she would take my order, she wanted to scold me on the difference between the two restaurants and that I should not have used the restroom that I used when I walked in the door. When I asked her to not talk to me in that tone of voice, she asked me to leave. I was happy to leave!"

"We normally go to Salsa Street in Mt Prospect but they just closed it. We did not like the proportion the food at the Palatine location. They were almost 1/2 less then what we got at the now closed Mt Prospect location. Also the taste and ingredients of the food was not great. We ordered the Tinga Chicken Flautas which were really small for $13.99! Also the Taco Tuesday were underwhelming and more than they were at the Mt Prospect location. We will not be back!"

"A nice quiet mexican restaurant in a strip mall. Stopped in around 5pm on a rainy Friday night and i was the only customer in the building. I did hear that they where taking some orders for either takeoit or delivery. Had the chicken burrito bowl and was very pleased with the portion size as well as the quality of the food. Also had a mango marriaggrita. Overall pretty good though i did think that it wss a bit pricey but maybe this is the going rate in the Chicago area."

"My brother and I stopped in last night (Friday, July 21), and as you can see by the picture, the presentation of the two tacos I ordered was pristine. Though it was our first time over, the employees made it a comfortable place to enjoy a quality meal with quality service at a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning soon."

"The food is A OK, tortilla soup looks and tastes like chicken noodle soup without noodles. Nachos were ok if it comes to taste but didn't look appetizing. I'm not a fan"
