"It's good food at decent prices and no pretentiousness. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, I never had an empty coffee cup, and the portions were well sized. I got the chicken and waffles, and it was delicious, and the side of bacon I ordered was the perfect level of crispy. If I may be so cheesy, the best way I can think of to describe here is like eating at grandma's: Is it the prettiest, best food I've ever had in my life? No. Do I feel warm and comfortable and maybe just slightly too full when I leave, knowing that I cant wait to come back again? Absolutely."

"Some the best breakfast food in palatine hands down. They have a great selection of food at very affordable prices. Everything I gotten here tastes delicious. Plus, they give big portion sizes at a really good price. I love their classic benedict very tasty. I would highly recommend this breakfast restaurant."

"The service was quick and fast, the place was clean and people friendly. They were happy to substitute and let us do customization, which was great The food was okay, nothing great, especially for the price. But we got one sausage link, which was not done right. It tasted as if made in a rancid oil that really put us off. Otherwise, the food was not bad but not great as well."

"The brunch was delicious. There were four of us, two omelets (one was split), and the Country Style Skillet. Veggie Omelet: My wife and my mother split this omelet. It was served with pancakes and fruit. When they finished, the plates looked almost clean. They were delighted with their meal. Country Style Skillet: my son has the Skillet. It was served with toast. Again, he was very pleased with his meal. California Special Omelette: I ordered this one. With a milk allergy, of course, I told them no cheese. When it arrived, I quickly noticed the chef missed that. I usually might become upset, but they were nice about it. They brought me a new one, which was delicious. Our server was fantastic. I wish I'd gotten his name to give him kudos. I hope he reads this - he'll remember us. :) Lastly, we are outdoors on their patio. It overlooks the busy Northwest Highway, but it was lovely."

"I was very pleased by the food at Bread & Butter Cafe. My omelet was very good, and a reasonable portion size. They have a wide variety of pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc. with a variety of toppings. They even have gluten free pancakes. Staff were friendly and helpful, and service was quick. The outdoor seating was a pleasant way to limit exposure, as well. I can solidly recommend Bread & Butter Cafe."
