"I went to the steak and shake last night out of convenience. It has been YEARS since I have eaten here, and I will not make that mistake again. I will be back here very soon for your delicious burgers and fries and next time get a shake too. The employees were very kind and the food was great. I love you steak and shake."
"I have not been to steak n shake in a few years but I have to say I'm so glad I came back. The food is so good the customer service is next level. Yeah they got rid of the waiters I don't mind. The staff is way more friendlier than they used to be, the store is a lot more cleaner. Overall I'm very happy that I gave steak and shake another Chance I'll be back."
"Absolute garbage location. Came here for years. Disgusting inside and outside. You have to use a code to get ONE fountain drink inside. Portion sizes are DISGUSTING. I paid $6 for some onion rings smaller than a burger. Also got chicken tenders smaller than my thumb for $5. Now I’m forced to be a waitress + giving a tip for somebody who couldn’t even take my order. Lastly, 3 people got small meals for $60?! Outrageous. We can barely afford to eat out as it is, but this is god awful."
"There aren't too many Steak 'n Shakes left in the area, so I'm fine with cutting these guys a bit of slack. The burgers and shoestring fries are still tasty as ever, although the drive-thru can be slow. Their normal shakes are made with powder, but you can have real fruit for an upcharge. Get the double steakburger w/cheese or the Frisco Melt!"
"I had a chance to eat at steak ‘n Shake today. It was clean, and the food was good, but it lost its soda shop experience feel. You may ask why? As you can see in the photos they have gone to kiosk only ordering for dining in or takeout. Now this beats having a zit faced teenager, picking his nose, handling the money and handling your food. However, it asked you to tip, who should you tip? Do you tip yourself since it’s completely self service? When I spoke to the people when they came forward after my order was made, they were very nice. I think they should consider a hybrid of self service and human service. It honestly felt like I was ordering from Amazon. It was easy, simple, but very cold. Tough to find workers I know, and people still are concerned about COVID, but this place was founded on the principle of an old time soda shop experience."
