"Went here for the first time recently to celebrate for a birthday. We did not have to wait long to be seated, but there was definitely a lot of people waiting by the time we were finished. We did make a reservation, but wouldn't have needed it our 530 time. Naturally the group all ordered hibachi. They did have some different options that I have not seen at similar restaurants. The food was nothing special above other local hibachi. Our chef packed the typical flair that we are used to seeing and he spoke softly for the loud environment making it difficult to understand what he was asking. While the lack of engaging antics was different it worked out for our party since we have some there that preferred it that way so it wasn't a problem. I can't say I won't return, but I don't see a need with other restaurants closer to home that offer similar or better food."

"This was our second time coming here. The first time was a great experience and the second time was an even better experience. We came for our son’s 9th birthday dinner. Kyoto Steakhouse made his birthday a very special one. Not only did they accommodate him (he REALLY likes Yum Yum sauce), sing Happy Birthday numerous times and in different ways, but the entire restaurant joined in and sang and we are so appreciative of the other guests joining in as well. Thank you so much. Food is delicious as always. The chef was so funny and professional. Our waiter Michael was awesome! He was kind, super professional and accommodating."

"We took our son-in-law to dinner for his birthday expecting a great experience. Well... 1. the carpeted floor around my chair was wet, sticky 2. there was a 1/3 inch chip of broken dish (plastic or melamine) IN my grandson's soup 3. the food cooked on our table was BURNED in several places 4. chicken was dry, some burned 5. one of the 3 steaks ordered medium was Well Done 6. we ordered scallops & steak but received scallops & Shrimp instead 7. it took Much discussion to have a mere $10 removed from the check 8. we were assessed a 25% service fee because we had a party of 6 We will not return to this restaurant. If you like Japanese Steak House food, go to Shogun in St. Charles! they are more personable, clean, and the prices are comparable."

"This was a very yummy classic style hibachi grill. All staff that we interacted with was helpful and friendly. Our cook was entertaining and put on a good, fun show. The hibachi grill menu is standard for this type of meal, which includes salad, soup, fried rice, egg, noodles, veggies and whichever meats & /or seafood you choose. Oh, and as much, yum yum sauce as you could possibly desire. The food was really tasty. Decor is as you would expect for an Asian restaurant, not too fancy but not too casual either. The type of place you would feel comfortable going to no matter what your attire might be. I will definitely return, if I'm in the area, especially to try the sushi since I didn't get any this trip. Prices are midrange and in my opinion are what would be expected for this type of restaurant. 2 Hibachi grill dinners and one adult beverage ran around $65."
