Leonidas Chocolate Cafe 1348 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL 60062

"I am a fan of this place but there is so much more potential! This cafe is within walking distance from the Metra, the food and coffee are very good and surprisingly doesn't feel overpriced but this place needs some series interior design help. The stock of the dry goods are within view for customers, cords from the TV are hanging down and the bins for dirty dishes are located where one would order. There appears to be an underutilized back area (near the rear door) where things are stored that could have an organizer of some sort (this area may be better suited for the large refrigerator in the main area as well). This would be a great work from home or coffee date meet up which I suspect would justify any expense of an outside organizer coming in and offsetting the added revenue. For now I'll continue to take my food for take out."

"Beautiful French pastries, crepes and espressos. We would definitely recommend the traditional Belgium Chocolate crepe. I loved the cafe noisette espresso too. It's fun to watch the crepes being made! Crepes are pricey at $9 to $16. The pastries are all reasonable at $3 to $7. A box of 5 chocolates (select your own) is $9. Lovely outdoor seating area. The inside also has a few tables for 2-3 people. Order at the counter, pick up your silverware and pick your table."

"I hardly ever get an opportunity to visit a Leonidas store, but this one is my favorite!Excellent service and delicious hot food and hot/iced beverage options, always! I also enjoy the wide selection of delicious chocolates and other goodies that can be purchased individually for sampling purposes, or by the pound. Choosing which ones to try is always the hard part."

"Amazing little shop with delicious pastries, chocolate and coffee. They have outdoor seating as well. I got omelette and chocolate crepes. And food was delicious. Also I got pistachio latte - the best I’ve ever tried. 3 stars because of the customer service. Lady who was helping me was rude and distracted by other people and it was difficult to order food. Will not recommend this location."
