"First time here, going off a friend's recommendation. Wow Buttermilk did not disappoint. Let me start with our fantastic server Emily. So polite and accommodating. Great service with a smile. The breakfast selections are many and portions are huge, enough for two and well worth the wait. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken skillet and it was delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. Prices are reasonable for the portions. Get here before 9am and there's very little wait. Plenty of parking. Highly recommended."

"The location of this place is lovely! Right by a Home Goods and Nordstrom Rack, just to name a few. This place is always packed, which I totally understand. The food is worth the wait! Let me not stress this enough, but the portions are HUGE. The food can easily be shared by 2-3 people or just expect to go home with leftovers. That is never a bad thing! The quality of the food is very good and worth the money. The service is quick and friendly! They have great specials, super tasty beverages, lots of options, and a fun- light vibe! I recommend going during the week, and early is normally not too bad. Oh! Also, get their biscuits and honey! You're welcome."

"First time at Buttermilk and it was packed. To be expected though! We joined the waitlist on our drive there which worked out really nice and only had to wait a few minutes for our table. Thought the food was overpriced until I saw just how much of it you get. A skillet can easily feed 2-3 people and the side of pancakes could be its own meal entirely. Weirdly enough though, of all items, the pancakes were the most lackluster. Very dry and not much flavor. Skillets were great and loaded with toppings. The hazelnut latte I got was super good as well."

"Apple Cider Pancakes. Seasonal, so get them now! Best pancakes on earth! They are huge too! My favorite breakfast place in Illinois! Always busy so plan a short wait. Atmosphere is a little loud, so not as good for romantic dates, but def. A must try!"

"Buttermilk Cafe is a great spot to meet friends and start the day out right. There is plenty of parking and the minute you walk in you’re greeted by friendly staff. The tables and booths are large and comfortable. You don’t feel squeezed in! Tona our server was great and explained all about the menu. It’s really clean eating here but delicious with all the guilty concoctions they make! My friend and I both had their omelettes. She had “the Goat” with the choice of tossed salad in place of potatoes and for her side she had the buttermilk pancakes. I had the veggie with pancakes. Let’s face it, you have to at least try the buttermilk pancakes as the side the first time you visit! They give you generous portions and everything is freshly made. My omelette had a boat load of veggies and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The only big draw back is for as nice as a restaurant as it is, their bathrooms are unisex! For many customers this would be non acceptable on the basis of hygiene and cleanliness. My experience was not very pleasant and was really gross. Taking this into consideration, my overall rating is a 3!"
