"Extremely flavorful, fresh, crisp and very well seasoned. Everything was packed with flavor. Best delivery wings I’ve ever had. Bibimap is excellent, not one ingredient lacked pop or taste. A smidge pricey but very very delicious. Do not sleep on this place."

"Not worth it!! Here are two major reasons why you should NEVER visit Kimchi Guys. 1) It’s very expensive. Portions are small. My order (see pics) cost $46. At Chipotle or Qdoba you can get 3 tacos, a large bag of chips and queso, and a burrito for $30. 2) Quality. The food is fine, but it’s just not good enough to be in the same league as all the competition in Edwardsville. You can find better tasting cheaper food elsewhere. If you want a spicy chicken sandwich, every restaurant has those now. If you want Korean food, go to Oriental Spoon (more authentic, much better tasting). If you want rice and meat and veggies in a bowl, go to Wang Gang, Chipotle, Qdoba, or Moe’s. There’s no need in Edwardsville for an overpriced, low quality version of all the other restaurants. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere."

"I recently had the chance to visit Kimchi Guys, a Korean-inspired fusion restaurant tucked away in Edwardsville, Illinois. This review, unfortunately, is largely a disappointment rather than the culinary adventure I was hoping for. The ambiance of the place was off-putting, to say the least. Blaring techno music that seemed more suited to a rave than a restaurant was the first thing that struck me. The overall atmosphere resembled a fast-food joint with the added incongruity of luxury dining prices. It was an uncomfortable blend that did little to warm me up to the experience. The ordering system was more reminiscent of a fast-food chain than a place charging exorbitant prices for meals. You can order at the counter or use a kiosk, and then you pick up your drinks. This, in combination with the steep pricing, was a bit of a jarring juxtaposition. My low rating of the service is not a reflection of the employees, but a reflection of the fast food style diy ordering and service system. As for the food, the menu offered an eclectic blend of Korean-inspired fusion dishes such as buffalo wings and tacos. My dining partner and I ended up spending a hefty $64 on two meals. However, the Korean buffalo wings and honey butter chicken tenders we ordered did not live up to the promise of the price tag. The wings were served cold and both dishes lacked the rich, nuanced flavors we were expecting. We were unable to finish our meals due to the disappointing taste. However, not all was lost. The Kimchi mandu boiled dumplings were the silver lining in our otherwise dismal meal. They were mouth-wateringly good and truly the only highlight of our visit. The waffle fries too were pretty amazing and added some redeeming qualities to the experience. Overall, the Kimchi Guys provided an underwhelming dining experience. The high prices, combined with the fast-food-style ambiance and the largely disappointing food, made for a regrettable meal. Despite the delicious dumplings and waffle fries, the negatives heavily outweighed the positives in this case. Unless major changes are made, I'd find it hard to justify a return visit. The concept has potential, but as it stands now, I cannot recommend Kimchi Guys as a worthwhile destination for Korean fusion cuisine."
