Grand Marais Lighthouse Restaurant

"Big shout out to Grand Marais Lighthouse restaurant owner, cook, and hostesses on yesterday (January 14) for opening their doors to accommodate my sister, Georgette's birthday dinner. Were they was going to close because of weather, staffing and shortage of food due to a big party the night before they opened their doors for us. Food was delicious with only 1 cook, service was exceptional with only 2 hostesses and they got all our orders correct in a timely matter. I thank you for your hospitality and everything you did to make our eating experience great. Can't wait to get Soul Food Sunday back because my church, North End M.B.Church, 463 N. 88th Street, E. "Beautiful place, and well manicured grounds. However, the outside terrace could use a coat of paint, but that doesn't take away from the overall impression or decision to return."

"The food is good and the service is great. It was hot as hell is expected to be. Someone visiting the waitresses was chatting with them and had the fan turned directly on them. I finally asked if the fan could be shared, being that it was so hot. Also, there were flies....flies....and more flies. I pray I don't get a 3rd World disease from this place. I couldn't tolerate it, so I took my food to go."
