La Fonda Mexican Restaurant

"La Fonda is the best Mexican in Edwardsville. We were seated outside the kitchen. Normally not happy about that however it gave me an opportunity to see how clean the kitchen was even on a busy Saturday night. The place was packed people running in and out of the kitchen still it looked tidy and clean. Love Lafonda !"

"This wasn't the same restaurant that we used to frequent when we lived here 5 years ago. The best food item was the chips and salsa. Our server didn't want to be at work that night. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for our meal. Wife's was cold. Mine was lukewarm."

"Wow, this restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside! The staff was amazing and very attentive. The food...oh, it was absolutely delicious! Our family of 5 had carnitas, fajita burritos and enchiladas and everything was so good! We plan to stop here again next time we are in town. I forgot to take any pictures but trust me, it's very good."

"This Mexican restaurant was not to my taste and the service was quite slow even though there weren’t a lot of people in the restaurant. Once I was seated no one came to my table for almost ten minutes when a lady brought me chips and salsa. I did not care for the salsa. It was another five minute wait before the waiter came to take my order. After that everything flowed pretty smoothly. I ordered the cheese dip which was good. I got the Enchiladas Supremas which is four different “stuffings” which I like to do my first time as a taste test. I didn’t love any of them but the bean one was decent. All in all a disappointment."
