"Years back used to enjoy this place a lot more, stopped going because the prices got much higher and tried again recently but hasn’t changed much. Acts more like an upscale antique store than a thrift store. The aisles are cluttered so if there is more than one person in a section you feel cluttered and like everyone else is in the way. A lot of prices on most things are on par with online prices."
"Great place to donate, super easy. Though the prices are kinda high. I saw a very used bike for $400 in the store that is $400 brand new. Many of their items are priced that way. Not as affordable as most resale shops. The volunteers inside the store are a bit rude as well."
"The older clerks/staff at the register are RUDE, if you don’t like your job, go somewhere else. The prices are becoming RIDICULOUS, SO HIGH ! For that I go to TJMAXX, HOMEGOODS, MARSHALLS OR ROSS. When I overheard the manager tell one of the staff worker “let’s price high and see what we can get” That tells me that they are just pricing for GREED , not really trying to help battered women. If you price low more people would buy and have a faster profit for the battered women. Their prices for some items are insane! I saw decor item prices at $16, the same item at HOMEGOODS was $9 (new)"
"To the staff (volunteers or otherwise) - the women who are granted the $20 shopping spree by an advocate have been abused. In fact that is a requirement for the voucher. Some of us have been physically assaulted beyond your comprehension, some of our children have been violated. Some of us have fled from states away to get to safety, with nearly everything left behind. So if you hate your job and are the kind of Christian that Jesus himself would be repulsed by, maybe find a different place to spend your days. You are doing ZERO good in the world treating survivors like we are trash. I’m grateful for the voucher but I will not be back for the simple fact that the staff has NO clue how to treat people with dignity."
"Volunteers can be very rude and careless! My cousin was charged for her own coat! The manager and clerk did their best to try and convince her they did nothing wrong. I love so many items I purchased there, but I have to watch them carefully ringing up my purchases. The last time I shopped there, the clerk wouldn’t even wrap the framed watercolors I bought"
