"Mariah and Sara were amazing to us here - they made our stay so nice & enjoyable. Highly recommend the muse!!!"
"DO NOT MOVE HERE. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. Fire alarms go off EVERY week. The last 24 hours it has happened 4 times. My poor dogs freak out because they are so loud and we have to leave the apartment because it can last up to 2 hours. Thankfully the alarms haven’t been going off in the middle of the night anymore. Nothing ever works, maintenance and office staff do not get back to you. No one is notified when fire alarms go off so we found out second hand through a neighbor because her apartment was FLOODING. Luckily our dogs were okay. When we moved into our apartment it was very dirty. My fiance loaded the truck up to move everything here and we weren’t given the keys for 4 hours (because they weren’t ready??) so he had to sit in the parking lot with all of our belongings waiting to move in after we were told it was ready. We didn’t get a mailbox key for 2 weeks, I had bills to pay and was waiting on my new debit card. We were so excited to live on such a fun street where everything is walking distance but it is not worth it. I wasn’t going to write this review but it has been really really bad lately and our poor animals are so stressed out."
"I am not one to write negative reviews, but I would be remiss to let someone else experience what I have with the management at Greystar. If I could give the Greystar zero stars, I would. After living there for two years, I have a decent grasp on who residents are dealing with. Aside from getting my bike stolen twice, my antique car getting toed without my permission, fire alarms going off consistently and not being turned off for hours on end, my apartment flooding and not being dealt with properly, homeless people using outlets within the complex and not being kicked out… the worst of all is GreyStar bought out the old management company. I am disappointed beyond words due to their unethical practices and refusal to look out for the betterment of the residents. In short, when I signed my original contract under Roscoe Properties (nothing against them) I paid a $400 deposit. When I moved out, (now under greystar) I did all in my power to leave the apartment in prime condition, arguably better than I found it. As any person would, I expected to receive my deposit back upon move out. I was told by greystar accounting that I would not be receiving my deposit back because the “new greystar contract” doesn’t include a deposit. Of course it doesn’t, I re signed, why would I need to pay a deposit. They are trying to tell me I never paid the original deposit. Meanwhile I quite literally could not get the keys to the apartment without paying it. Also, they are saying the renewal lease contract (w/ no security deposit… DUH) supersedes the original contract with the deposit I had to pay. I’m writing this in hopes of two things. 1. The apartment management will make things right with all residents who were living there prior to their purchase, by returning what is rightfully their’s (the deposit). And 2. Preventing anyone from living here as long as this management company is doing business this way. If they’re unethical with deposits, I’m afraid this probably bleeds into many other facets of their business. Austin has many beautiful apartments, save yourself the headache and look anywhere else. I’d love to speak with anyone at Greystar that doesn’t talk like a robot and can actually use critical thinking skills to understand this situation. The Muse can’t help and Greystar receivables is completely worthless"
"Where to begin. I am not someone that complains for fun. I truly wish I would have believed the reviews before spending $800 to move in here. The oldest most poorly maintained “luxury” building in Austin. Greystar is bad to rent in Austin. They don’t care about their tenants. You have to pay all utilities and fees which is about an extra $200+ Main areas such as elevator is filthy and hot , don’t bother using it. Workout room is old equipment/ mold smell is overpowering. Pool is hot and murky water. Common outdoor areas are rarely cleaned. On to apartment unit Beware of black mold growing out of your vents. If you’re on the top floor to avoid paper thin walls & ceilings be extra careful not to move into one that has all 6 a/c units or even one above you. Your whole apartment will vibrate & the noise will make you crazy. Nothing drowns it out. Appliances all old and noisy. Constant electric buzzing. Shower & tub old and nasty.. paint chipping off and molding constantly coming off. They can fix things but eventually the problems come back within a few weeks. I’ve been in this building one month & given management plenty of time to address l. I feel obligated to warn future renters to beware & go elsewhere for 2600/month."
"Large scorpions, baby scorpions, other bugs in the apartments, rats and snakes on the property. There is always garbage everywhere...even though you pay a 30 or 40 dollar trash fee. It is a dump. **In response to Muse: I am not sure how you "resolved matters in a timely and efficient manner" because we moved out...you did not resolve anything. I am pretty sure you tried to charge us almost 10k dollars to break our lease, then reduced that to 1,600...then finally, after much persistence on my part and informing you that we have proof of the tenants prior to us complaining of the same issues....were we able to break our lease. In addition, we were not compensated for having to move again...I had to fight to simply get our pet deposit back (considering we lived there less than 8 weeks). So no...nothing you did was easy, considerate, timely or efficient."
