"Lots of downsides to these apartments. It was nice when we first moved in but has gone downhill since then. There’s always trash EVERYWHERE. Multiple incidents of car vandalism and break ins. Unsupervised kids damaging property (ex.throwing rocks at parked cars!) Large groups of unsupervised kids are always roaming and screaming past sundown. One of the kids carves their initials into our front door. appliances are always breaking and it takes months to get them properly fixed. Doors are constantly falling off hinges. The internet sucks and you can only add 9 devices. The appliances are NOT stainless steel like they advertise. We’ve had to call the police multiple times for unhinged screaming and violence from neighbors. Constant smell of cheap weed. There was water damage under the cabinets in our bathroom when we first moved in, instead of fixing it they painted over it and said it’ll be fine. There’s so much more that goes on here. If you can avoid these apartments, do so."
"lived here from fall 2021-fall 2023, honestly didnt have a terrible time living here but it was time to leave. it would take a few days for maintenance to come around and get things fixed, but i feel like thats the standard for most apartments. didnt see any break ins, gate always worked, the mail room thing was awesome, never had a big problem with the place. i think sometimes you gotta keep in mind you're paying around 500/mo to live somewhere, cant really expect luxury"
"I was unsure on whether or not to give Villages at East Riverside a try and I am so glad I did! It can be difficult to find apartment buildings who genuinely care for their residents, but this team of people is the attentive, kind and good at what they do. Sam, the manager, was eager to answer any questions I had about the property, and quick to respond when I reached out. I toured a unit with Jimmy, who was extremely professional, and personable. The property has great amenities for the price too. I will definitely be recommending to friends considering moving to Austin."
"There are not enough words to explain how much I am impressed with this property. I never leave reviews, but my experience was top notch. When I call, they always answer the phone and always in a great mood. The process to get approved was super simple and easy. I was on the market for a place for 2 months and did not expect to find a place until I met Jennifer. Jennifer, you deserve a raise lol. She was so sweet warm welcoming!! I am referring all my friends and family right now!!! I hope everyone has experience like me. Jennifer your awesome!"
"I signed a lease with them for a specific apartment, you can lease an apartment or a room in this community, almost 3 months in advance. Their office would have been closed for a holiday on the move in date so I requested a new lease for a different move in date so we'd be able to get keys. They sent us a new lease with increased pricing on an item. After about a month of back and forth with the property and finally their management company, I was able to get them to honor the original price. Then I came to find out, the day before I was supposed to move in that they had actually changed the apartment we were set to move into for some reason, no one ever said why and no one in the office thought it'd be a good idea to let us know... just keep sending new leases to sign. After moving i, it took about 3 weeks to get mail keys. They also say they're a pet friendly community, but basically refuse to fill the pet stations so people can clean up after their pets. They say that they're not REQUIRED to provide bags and it's the owner's responsibility to still clean up after their own pets. This is true, but also nonsense. If they cared about having a clean community, they'd provide the bags to do so. I would not recommend signing up to live here as it's really not worth the headache. They are reasonably priced and in a decent location though, so do with that what you will."
