"YOU BELONGINGS ARE AT RISK HERE. Keywords: Unsafe, unprofessional, and unreliable apartment complex I lived here for two years and I regret it, as the quality of this apartment complex has deteriorated over time. It is a terrible place to live for many reasons. Here are some of them: 1. The parking lot and the area are not safe. In November 2023, someone broke my car window and stole all my belongings, along with another car’s. Both vehicles were parked right in the apartment own parking lot. The picture of the damage is attached below. There are no camera systems, and the left gate was constantly broken and left wide open for several months. Anyone could enter and leave the complex without any trouble. This place will not provide you any sense of security. 2. They work with A&A Wrecker, a quick Google search will provide you just enough information about the reputation of this company. You are required to register your vehicle on their website. However, The registration process is not instant and somehow requires third-party approval. This means that if you buy a new car and park it in your own spot, you risk getting it towed and damaged. This has led to my brand-new car getting towed the very first day it was bought. There were scratches left on the hood and you have to pay a hefty fee. In fact, your new car is safer on the street, even with getting windows smashed, than at the complex. The window repair cost is probably less than the towing fee and the damage to your car. 3. The maintenance is slow and ineffective. It took them several attempts to fix the AC in my apartment. The temperature was always above 78 degrees and I live in Texas. I had to submit multiple requests and wait for weeks before they finally fixed it."
"Also note their response...ive informed them in person and via maintenance requests. They know what to do. They still don't do it. Btw the little ziplock bag holding up the umbrella by the pool? It's been there since June 2023. It's December 2023 now...is it still there when they tour you by the pool with green sludge dripping down? Two year resident review: This place is old and in need of repairs everywhere but I won't factor that in to my review because this isn't hidden from you when you visit. My hope is that Woodchase will make some minor improvements. Pros: Good location for commuting and a 5 min drive to the Domain, grounds are clean, no bugs or pests (2nd floor), good parking, neighbors keep to themselves, not a loud residential community, trash is well kept and it's never over flowing. Maintenance is very considerate and they usually get to your apartment a few days after a request. Cons: Half the laundry machines work half the time, cars and mailboxes get vandalized without community alerts sent out, mailbox hasn't had a door in three weeks and I'm still receiving mail in it even though they said they would inform the postal worker to bring to them (pretty easy for the post worker to see there isn't a door and shouldnt place mail inside but everyone is apathetic here so it doesnt matter apparently) they waited a whole year to repair a burned down apartment building. Literally busted windows, burned out patios, and melted siding. Cars get towed very easy here even when you've been a resident and have had a registered car here. Costs 250 to bust your car out from car jail Noise: If you live near the front you will eventually get used to the trash being collected at Slick Willies everyday that sounds like 8 car accidents in a row. It used to be done at 430am for most of the year now it happens at 6. I am not sure if this changes during daylight savings. You get what you pay for living behind a bar. You will not hear obnoxious noise from neighbors. No loud music or screaming fits outside. People keep to themselves here. Community communication: There is no notice via online resident portal if the laundry facility is out of order. Community safety alerts are non-existent for car burglary and mailbox theft. Maintenance are friendly. Never get around to anything. What can make this place better? More communication from leasing on community safety updates via resident portal. Signage on the laundry door and in resident portal if the laundry sites are out of commission. Cameras by the gates would be great and a setup near the mailbox would be ideal. Fix the busted up mail station. FYI residents should report vandalism to the USPS postmaster."
"I have been calling the leasing office multiple times but the call is disconnecting with no answer. A resident in one of the apartment was to move out 10-31-2023. I had given an in-person to C. Eberhard on July 26, 2023. However, she failed to provide me with all the information required for move out. Later, the assistant was informed about the situation on Aug. 25, 2023 and yet again, on Sept 21, 2023 I was called from the office to ask for the same information again by some lady that took over the position for Candice. Her name (correctly) starts with a D. I confirmed I wanted to move out and will not take the mistakes of the leasing team onto me. Honestly, I honored the lease agreement and paid for 20 days more than what was agreed on due to leasing teams negligence although notice was given for more than 60 days before the end date of the lease. After completion of the lease, HEAR ME WELL, CHARGED ME A CLEANING FEE FOR AN ABSOLUTE CLEAN APARTMENT. The assistant was laughing, ignoring the false charges on me literally laughing and felt like looting money for no reason. The new D-something lady did not accept the management’s mistake. Provided she had accepted it, this review would have been not as harsh. Don’t lease this apartment, instead pay for better appliances in the same range of rent charges near Burnet road (right next to it is a new building providing much better services) and keep away from unnecessary hassle with this team."
"It’s a cute community but their office response time is pitiful. My friend lives at this community and has been having issues with her ac for months. Her apartment has electricity bills of $300 and her ac doesn’t get under 78 at any point. I myself tried reaching out to them when she was out of town and her ac broke and the call literally just doesn’t even go to voicemail. Hopefully someone sees this and contacts her to make it right. I’ve sent them a chat request too. We heard there is new management and we tried to reach out to them and no one got back to her just yet. Doing this so someone sees and hopefully helps out my friend. I’ll take this review down if the office fixes her ac issues."
"My boyfriend and I lived here for a little over 4 years. We would have loved to of stayed longer, but we moved North to be closer to family. The neighbors are friendly, the staff is super responsive and helpful, maintenance usually showed up the next day for requests we submitted, and you can’t beat the location. We loved Woodchase apartments and will miss it! Great first apartment experience for us."
