I first moved in a experienced many issues, however since Capstone Properties took over management in late September, I can see the effort and changes they’re making to improve the property. Erica, the newest manager, has been great putting in a lot of effort in to make the changes to ensure safety and comfort of the residents."

"*6/5/23 EDIT: The sudden wave of 5-star reviews coming in all at the same time (2-3 weeks ago) is very suspicious. The one that mentions the pool is factually inaccurate since the pools have never been open to tenants; in fact, the management has explicitly told tenants NOT to enter the pools or face a fine. These reviews are clearly fake. I cannot recommend highly enough that every single person looking for a place to live in Austin AVOID THESE APARTMENTS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Please do not give this company any of your money. Living here started off terrible and never improved, despite the rent being raised by almost $200! Now I'm moving somewhere nicer, quieter and cheaper and without the awful management. *4/14/23 EDIT: They've started charging $55 for carport parking and $35 to park in front of your building, in addition to the $10/month they already charge for parking. Also, still no mailboxes after almost a year of living here. Just... don't move here. Don't give them your money.* My experience living at this apartment complex for the past five months started out abysmal and has improved somewhat. When I moved in, I was told the apartments were renovated, but this apartment had clearly not been finished; the *FIRE ALARMS* were not working, the pipes for the kitchen sink were busted, the lights in the bedroom weren't working, the fridge was unplugged and had mildew on the bottom of it, the thermostat was broken and had insane expletives written on it from the previous owner, the A/C was leaking water, the stove was unplugged and there were bugs living *everywhere*. They didn't even provide me with blinds for any of the windows. The staff at the time was nearly impossible to reach; the front office was almost always closed, and they were not accepting voicemails. It took them over a week to even begin addressing all of these concerns, and they were not pleasant about it. After living here for several months, conditions have improved, mostly due to the (formerly) disgusting apartments next to mine being renovated (and *completed*, unlike mine). The A/C still leaks water, the same old fridge & stove are still pretty gross (despite me constantly cleaning them), and in general I'll always feel very grossed out by the kitchen. The main issues now are... A. a lack of mailboxes, which I've heard management is dealing with, though I was also told that five months ago... B. maintenance takes about a week to respond to any work order, and usually leave a mess behind (and often don't actually fix the issue), C. the 24hr noise pollution from the very busy intersection right next to the apartments, with no sound barriers. It helps to wear earplugs to bed and to get one (or several) of those sound machines. Basically, the cost of rent is relatively cheap, but overall it's been a headache living here. It does appear that some improvements are *in the works*, but I feel as though the cons outweigh the pros at this point in time. Plus, who knows if improvements will continue to occur."

"Amenities offered: Mailboxes have been broken for the past 3-ish years, the on-site Laundry facilities have been inoperable since February, Pools have been closed since April. There is no expected time frames for the repairs of any of this. But don't worry, the Brand New carports are just fine! Come to Ascent at Northgate where the roaches will be happy to show around your new home."
