"Wished I never moved there Edited the owner want me to elaborate : Ok so I 1st asked for a new apartment in the building. When I moved in it was may 2020. So should tell you how bad it was during that time. Well when I moved in the previous apartment manager said the couldn’t make everything updated because how crazy pandemic was. So I had old toilet, bathtub, dishwasher, sink, etc.. But I was given a discount because of it. Fast forward to 2023 the prices of the apartments went up , and I was bout to have to renew or move. So back to me asking for a new apartment on the same property. Instead of showing me a new update apartment I was given the runaround. The new management was overwhelmed. So I had to start looking elsewhere. When the other apartment that I was looking at getting was contacting Promontory Point. The promontory Point assistant manager start telling them lies about me. Which the apartment I was looking at told me what they said how inappropriate it was , and that they have the recording. Also that apartments got so frustrated with them, because promontory Point management kept given them the runaround. Saying they will send the documents they needed for me to move in but wouldnt. fast forward to moving out they didn’t give me my deposit back and is charging me when the apartment was clean and the condition I moved in. They charge me for even replacing the bathtub. When the old management knew the condition I moved in the place. I even have video and pictures of the clean and good condition I left the place. I even sent them proof of this thur the third party promontory point uses to collect the last bill. But they wouldn’t reply to the third party in my appeal. The third party tried for a month or so but said they couldn’t hold my file anymore. So they had to give it to a bill collector that put it on my credit and dropped my score badly. I’ll end this like I started. I wished I never moved here , and I’ll add one of the worst decisions in my life."
"DO NOT MOVE HERE. There are so many things I could say, but I think it would be best explained through an email which I sent to the front desk upon submitting my last payment: I think you can understand that this is very upsetting for us. The treatment that we have seen and experienced throughout this whole process is frankly slimy and manipulative. I understand that y'all are running a business with the incentive to make money but it is clear to me that that is your sole incentive. I fully understand that legally you hold no responsibility. Now you are able to charge us an extra $1,133. We signed a lease agreeing to submit notice to vacate 60 days before our lease ends. You sent us an email 50 days before our lease ended, so that our move out date would be the 19th. In November, I noticed a very large charge for December and went into the office in person to ask about the charges. I was told by either you or another employee that the $999 was simply an extra charge and that it would go away once the initial payment was made. Either that was a lie or a serious misunderstanding of your own business model. Either situation is concerning and disappointing. Luckily, I have a savings account and I am able to make this payment without any serious consequences but I know that most people do not have this privilege as I'm sure you know as well. Especially those who do not have the income for a steady savings account, and those with children. I have almost never been able to reach the front office by phone, even though I always ensure to call during business hours. I doubt you even check the voicemails because mine have never been returned. Maintenance services are cheap and lazy - I went without hot water for a week despite calling multiple times. When I finally had time to go in person, yall had no idea I had been trying to reach you for a week. Promontory Point has shown me no evidence that you care for your residents or their well being, and are just interested in making as much money as possible. Money that isn't even translated into bettering the community which is evident in the behaviour of the staff and resources. I have submitted our payment and I am relieved to be leaving."
"You know I usually wait a good six months before I review a place where I live but I'm cutting that short because the office and maintenance team have just been the absolute best. Julie is kicking butt. Ariel and Jorge are so sweet and diligent. Everyone has been courteous, understanding, and helpful. I was a bit wary of committing due to the other reviews on here but I can safely say that at this point time I absolutely love where I live. The location is phenomenal and quiet. I can hear my neighbors but they can hear me too ya know? And I'm constantly surprised by the lengths they go to in order to assure my comfort and safety. What prompted this was a leak I discovered in my sink and I reported it to them. In a week they came by and told me they'd have to fix it and I thought they'd be like my old place thst just kijd of out bsndaids on things but didn't address the problem. But nope. I walked in one day to a brand new countertop altogether. I also dropped a check near my car one time and they called to tell me they found it and kept it at the front desk for me. It's little things like that, that show me how dedicated this staff is to customer service and quality of life. Bravo Promontory Point. Please please please keep it up."
"Lived here for 14 months had numerous issues with the water, cockroaches, the pool was closed for nearly a year, the office went through 3 managers and each one took forever to do anything about fixing amenities I paid to use. As well as its advertised as a gated community since before we moved in on a 14th month lease the gates did not work i was told by the office staff they would be fixed within 2 weeks 7 months later my partners car was stolen. the gates are still not fixed in October of 2023. For the money i spent on a studio i have a much better Place to live if you can avoid it I would it was a nightmare dealing with anything that i needed the office for and everything was a mess i still have yet to receive my deposit back or documentation on why i will not be getting it more than 3 months after moving out. as well as pushy tactics on why there pipes bursting are the fault of tenants and how legal action had to be threatened to get them to back down from said claim. basically a slum lord runs these apartments"
"Everyone in life will experience good or bad times no matter where they live or who the manager may be. Living here I can say that I myself have experienced the bad. But my bad was because things happen that no one saw coming. Water/plumbing issues because people flush things down the toilet that they shouldn’t. Sometimes it affects everyone and sometimes it doesn’t. I can’t blame management because they don’t know what people flush down their toilet. But I will say from my own experience living here and having Mrs. Juliana Johns as the manager compared to the last manager she’s done an excellent job and has gone above and beyond. The last manager was clueless and didn’t care. I’ve seen and spoken to Mrs.Johns while she’s walking the property after hours which says a lot because some managers don’t leave their A/C offices but she does and the maintenance team under her has done an excellent job. Since she’s became the manager she’s done an excellent job. I say this because my lease was up for renewal and I wasn’t going to renew my lease but I did because she’s shown me that she’s willing to go above and beyond for her residence."
