"This apartment complex is awful, the management is absolutely appalling and their handling of basic situations is equally so. Don't move here! 1. The parking situation is terrible the parking spots are tiny and I drive a small car, multiple times have come out to my car being damaged by the parking situation. 2. They clearly have some sort of deal with a tow truck company who periodically comes through to tag your car for tow if your registration is out which to me has absolutely nothing to do with living in an apartment complex and now they have begun threatening any guests as well. 3. I had never paid rent late once while living here a year and a half and after one late payment instead of oh I don't know sending an automated email to let the tenant know they instead leave a letter saying you must vacate in a couple days and that proceedings have begun to evict you. In the letter there is no option to pay and they removed my account from the portal for me to be able to pay immediately (I had my bank account directly attached to the account as well). 4. Maintenance has not been great here, we had a serious leak in our bathroom and the first time they came they said they had fixed it but it clearly had not been, there was water coming up through the floor of the laminate and I could physically see the damage and water outside the building as well. There is also obviously mold in that area. I had ask again to just have them do anything about the situation and they seemed annoyed about having to fix it and didn't even finish the job in our bathroom for cleaning up after and reinstalling the towel bar. I know that seems simple but I also pay rent and expect these things to be taken care of. 5. When I signed the original lease it was for a different apartment, they chose to let me know only 2 days before I was meant to move in, I had already set up multiple utilities with the apartment I had already signed for. I was able to come to a compromise of paying less of a deposit for my dog. Come a year later the management tried to tell me that I owed on my deposit over this issue. Just ridiculous. Don't move here, they will treat you poorly and constantly threaten you."

"I unfortunately had to build this list when issues kept reoccurring and nothing was getting resolved. - The parking spot assigned to me was assigned to two other people 2 months after moving in. I kept receiving letters on my car threatening to have it towed. - Leaking AC, came in to replace filter, painted over mold and continued to leak, submitted three maintenance requests with the same results. Didn’t bother on submitting another request since they would have just done the same thing. - Didn’t have a heater during the freeze nor did heater work for a week after - Put work order in for bathroom outlet not working, vendor came, unplugged everything I had in my bedroom (where there was no issue) and never returned without fixing it or giving an update. - Upon move in the lights in the ceiling were not sealed - Bathroom shower head not sealed to wall - Water damage under bathroom sink was just painted over - Upstairs neighbor had a sprinkler leak that found its way into my kitchen, maintenance knocked on my door at 4am and let themselves in when I didn’t answer even with privacy lock secured. - The gym is never cleaned - The mail man listed my mailbox as vacant since I had something mailed to me for a friend and was told it was because I didnt write my last name in the physical mailbox. which resulted in me not receiving important documents I was waiting for and never had to do at any property before. - The gates are never closed, I encountered someone who was obviously on drugs who stopped me and asked if there was laundry on site. I told them no and walked away, not anymore than 5 minutes later the stranger began to knock on my door - I submitted a maintenance request and was never contacted about the issue. I was in the shower when they decided to come in to check on the issue and chose to let themselves in even with the privacy lock secured. - Will not respond to emails, I sent three emails to inform them that I will not be renewing my lease (to which they never responded) and I received a renewal email 3 weeks before my lease was scheduled to end. - Leak in the unit above resulted in water build up in bathroom ceiling, only dehumidifier was placed. After day 3 the leak spread to my closet and the paint in the ceiling was filling with water causing them to tear and drip. The woman in leasing office made it seem as it wasn’t an urgent matter and had me send an email with videos and said maintenance was off in 20 minutes and it wouldnt be taken care of until the next day, I couldn’t use the shower sink or toilet without getting dripped on and management saw this as still being useable. still did not do anything about it until the day after when I went in and complained AGAIN. I had to take matters into my own hands after speaking to friends who are contractors and recommend to release the water bubbles. It wasnt until the 7th day where they removed the paint and remaining water from the ceiling and left a hole exposing the structure. Whole apartment smelled like mold, light fixture in the closet fell apart due to the water damage. They placed a fan in the closet and cut open the carpet to dry. Not only was it loud in my unit but I also had to pay a higher electricity bill for the dehumidifier and fan running for a week and a half straight. Clothes and shoes were damaged. Hilary stated she’d compensate the week and a half off my rent that the bathroom was unusable, however it was never applied and the staff acts as if they have no idea or records of it. Multiple pictures and videos have been shared with the property and authorities. - Once they finally sent the final bill, I was FAR over charged for electricity and gas when a third party vendor had always been used for those utilities. I've reached out multiple times for information with again, no response until multiple weeks later and sending follow up emails. AND my rent was never discounted for my last month of encountering the nightmare of the bathroom leak."

"Do not move here, maintenance does absolutely nothing. A/c unit doesn't work and all they do is give you a filter apt doesn't get below 75 during the day and 72 during the night no matter what temp it's on and they've done nothing since moving"

"This is absolutely the worst managed apartment complex ever. 1. My car was broken into while I lived here. They claimed that they had security cameras and footage, but never sent it to us or the authorities. I asked them for it repeatedly but they never responded or followed up. 2. On many occasions they overcharged us for rent and garage. They never responded to emails confirming these charges so that I wouldn't have a proper paper trail. 3. They didn't send us a 3 month move out notice that was supposed to be automated, due to a "glitch". Even though all other eligible residents except us received this notice, they did not apologize or compensate for their system error. 4. After we moved out, they immediately closed our resident portal, overcharged us for the remaining utilities and prorated rent, never notified us or gave us a chance to pay, and then immediately sold our debt to a debt collector. When I went to the office to ask about it, the agent told me that it was accidentally overcharged due to a "glitch" and then told me what the correct charge was (never sent me a paper trail or confirmation though). She then later called the debt collector and denied ever speaking with me so I had to pay the full overcharged amount.While speaking to the manager about this, it was clear that she did not understand basic math and was just rambling on. Some other grievances: - The parking spots are TINY. I drive a sedan and could barely squeeze into a spot whenever I was lucky enough to find one. - I requested a reserved spot and continually followed up on my request, but they never responded. - There was so much broken glass in the parking lots- I'm surprised I didn't puncture a tire while I lived here. - When I moved in, my bedroom was completely covered in cat hair. I am allergic to cats. We also found a dirty shoe shoved in the washing machine, making me doubt if they even cleaned the unit. - There was mold on the shower caulking and the closet door was broken when I first moved in. - Roaches - The rudest employees I have ever met. Maintenance staff were very friendly, but the office staff couldn't care less about the tenants. TLDR- I would rather pay double the rent and live elsewhere than ever live at The Amethyst again."
